  1. id like to welcome dan to blue oval, i work with dan, and had told him about the web site, im sure everyone will make him feel welcomed. i dont want to speak for dan, but the car that he has is from europe. im suposed to see the car this sun, at work. i drive a mustang, my 2nd one, and ive been a member on this site for a few years now. dan is located in the central florida area, so if thier are any members who are from fla, or will be in fla, then im sure dan will be showing the car to blue oval members. thats really part of the deal with ford, to show the car, and pretty much promote it. i had wanted to do this myself, but was not picked by ford , im in my 40s, they are looking for a younger demographics. this car will appeal to all ages really, so i look foward in hearing what dan has to say about it, maybe someone out here has some questions for him, more so now than ever, because im not seeing very much info regarding the car on here as yet...................... mustang_fla_guy
  2. what can i say, its been a wonderful car, my 2nd ford. ive had stuff from japan before, this car is tight, and very fun to drive. its built in the usa, and im very proud of that fact. if you own an import, than i respect that, just give ford a try, thats all anyone who loves fords like myself can ask.................................. :stats:
  3. great looking mustang, and i wish you much luck with it. i have a 2007 mustang myself, and i have to say that its been a great family member, its my 2nd mustang. these are really great cars, and yes, i do like the new 2010 refresh alot. the 2005 mustangs were the building block for the mustangs that are coming out now, so they only will be getting better with each model year. but, the 2007 is my baby, lol, and its a keeper for me, ill never sell it, ill just buy another ford for my drives to work.......................... mustang_ fla_guy
  4. happy birthday ford mustang........ you have given me much joy in my life, and i wish you many, many more years of life, just dont ever change, keep yourself rear wheel drive, and be made in the usa...... wishing you all the best, and thank you for all the smiles that you have put on so many of the faces that have come in contact with you..................
  5. im thinking that the next gen mustang, after the 2010 refresh, will include a 4 cyl engine. and im sure it will be alittle smaller than the 197 car of present. i just home they dont make it too much smaller because really enjoy the room in my 2007, and the first time i ever had room for my 6.1 frame. before i close this, i have to say that this mustang is put together really great, with no problems to report. im really proud that its built in america, so my hot is off to the folks who put these together, and to ford as well............. thank you :hyper:
  6. if you buy 4 wheels from them, you will get an egg roll
  7. as ive said, i have had 2 hyundias before, and i had no mechanical problems with them, so in that respect, they held-up. its the plastic on the inside of the car are was not holding up very well. the funny part was, after i bought my last hyundia, i felt somewhat bad about it. i felt bad for not giving a domestic product like ford a chance, i had a mustang before, and it was the best car that i had, but i went for a small suv this time, and it was from korea. i felt bad for feeling bad, lol, as silly as this sounds. i know that people will buy want you want, regardless of where it comes, but its time to give america a very hard look again, and since i bought my 2007 mustang, so far anyway, im so glad that i did. every should get a 2nd chance, yes i know they screwd-up somewhat in the past, and maybe not all of american products are the best in certain classes, but theres some very good products out there that should atleast begiven a look at. i think ford makes some of the best handling and fun cars to drive out there for the price, im more loyal to ford because my dad bought a ford fairlane in 1967, new. it had that great 289 v8 in it, which after he sold it ran untill it had 285,000 miles on it, it only died because the 2nd owner ran into a tree with it, and he still drove it for a few mos untill probles were creeping up as a result of the tree crash.............
  8. update.... i just put mobile 1 in the mustang on fri, as i was looking across my 17 inch wheels, i saw....... made in mexico
  9. ive had 2 products from hyundia, i never broke-down in them, but some how wished i did just for the excitment alone, toyota should fear them, soon someone will have cars as boring and soulless as themselfs. im rooting for ford, and the other 2 american auto makers. its very late in the game for them to turn things around, but it is starting to work for gm, so it can be done. if ford can have low recalls even with some of its long in the tooth products, and keep the mistakes to a min, and work on getting fresh products to market, even if it drips in, it can make it, and i hope they do.
  10. hyundia really never has had a real sport coupe, the tib is slow, way too small, crude, and supriseingly, crappy on gas.
  11. the mustang is in a different class really, a big question mark for hyunida is, will it hold-up. and will driving it be bland, like hyundias are
  12. i noticed that on the new mustang, north american content drops down from 70%, to 65%. and ford is still importing the v6 from germany, yes i know ford is supposed to drop in the new 3.5 in the next mustang, but its things like this that really dont make any sense to an outsider like myself. im one of those guys who look under the hood of a car, to check who, and where the part is made. example, on my old 2000 mustang, the speakers were made in the usa, then, i test drove a 2004 mustang, before the big change in body style, and they were made in mex, now, on my 2007, which i love bye the way, there made in china . does anyone work in the ford mustang plant who can fill us in as to the imported parts going into our beloved mustang, id love to know. is it getting worse, better. i know the trend in the auto world is to put in the cheapest part that you can find, from every third country out there, thats the business world today. im wondering though, if our companys who still make parts in america, were able to get starting pay lower, and the unions, and employees were will to work more with there companys, would this help in bring more domestic made parts in our cars, or would greed take over, and it wouldnt make any difference at all. im taking the greed route if i had to bet on it. mustang plant workers, lets here from you
  13. ive had 2 hyundias already, a accent, and a 2005 tucson. even though i never broke down with either car, i found the driving experience to be very soul-less, with no drive feed back. the inside plastics had some of its paint coming off, the paint jobs were sub-par, and when you trade one of them in, you get kicked in the pants, lol. i now have a 2007 ford mustang, my 2nd mustang, and its so far been a great car.
