  1. I was on build and price, looking at focus titaniums, and I noticed that the navigation didn't say if it had sony sound system. Most of fords other cars come with both when you check the nav box, does the focus? Thanks!

  2. My mom is looking at a fusion or edge in the next couple of months hopefully....and we were wondering how good an AWD Fusion...probably a sport performs in the snow? Its a big consideration for us as we do a lot of mountain pass driving. Would the extra ground clearance on the edge make is better snow vehicle over the fusion? Thanks!

  3. I voted no, but one day after all the lineups in both Ford and Lincoln are brought up to class leading standards and are solidly profitable. Also after the economy rebounds...not much sense trying to sell 150k car, when people aren't wanting to buy 15k car. Ummm...I agree with Borg, the escape is in need of a definate refresh at the very least, compared to every ford vehicle except for the ranger and current focus it feels very dated.

  4. ohhhh, kay

I have a son who will be graduating next May and decided to see what he thought about cars...Now you have to remember kids these days really are not into cars as much as enthusiast's on this site.

I got a little mixed up and went to the Ford site and showed him a Fiesta,, his reaction to that? It looks like a girls car. Ouch, but probably hitting home. Then I found this link and showed him that orange ST.

Then he goes that looks cool.

He wanted to know what I thought, I just said, Well It's not me.

Well as a freshmen in college, I guess I would be considered that generation that doesn't like cars..but I am one big exception to that. That being said, I love this car, and would buy it asap! But I would like to see the power upto about 275 as well.

  5. I see that you joined today and this is your first post....could you possibly be a Ford Motor Company plant/mole....trying to gauge interest? I can tell you this....if it is smaller than F-150, yet larger than Ranger....I am interested.... :shades:

Yeah I too would be very interested in a smaller than an F-150 but bigger than a Ranger truck. Call it the F-100 and add it into the F-Series sales totals.

  6. We have a 2001 Focus with almost 160k and it still runs awesome.I think it must have been 00 that had all the recalls, our 01 has had like one or two... It is still tight and will hang with newer cars in the twistys. Other than needing to replace the original stock shocks, it drives like new. We have been super impressed with it and my grandma and aunt both bought focus's on our reccomendation, and countless other fords..I can't wait for the new focus, and plan on replacing ours with a 2013 sedan.

  7. Wait... did you hear that?

The collective sound of GM execs looking at the Cruze and smacking their heads on the conference table.

Haha thats funny, I was thinking wow, Focus sure does kill the cruze in the looks dept.

But that Focus is beautiful! That is heads and tails above what I thought it would be! Awesome job, now get the ecoboost in ASAP!

  8. I was at my local dealer the other day, and was looking around and noticed that they had "Racecraft" Mustangs, by Saleen. They are brand new 08 MY cars, with a supercharger. They put out 420 hp. They also had an upgraded 485 hp version w/ a super shaker. My question is what is a racecraft and are they rare?? They seemed really cheap, probably because they were left over 08's that they want gone!!

Here is some pics from the dealers website

2008 420s upgraded super shaker 485 hp and custom leather: $35,999

They are really awesome cars, and seem like a great value! But what do you guys know about them?

  9. I believe that's genuine Explorer body too....the greenhouse isn't as squared off as Flex is:

    And those are Expedition mirrors.

I love your flex, with the edge sport 22's, they should build that from the factory!!

I dont see the point in a unibody explorer, it seems to me like it would overlap with the edge and flex to much. I think they have the perfect line up now. If anything put the new 3.7L engine in it and then the ecoboos 3.5L and leave it the way it is, and get better fuel mileage.

  10. My dad and I were in town today and drove by about five fiestas sitting in a parking lot, and so of course we went to check them out and they happened to be giving test drive so we drove two different ones.

First was a 1.4L 4 spd auto select shift w/ 95 hp cloth interior:

Very nice looking and different than anything else, just as roomy and comfortable as our focus in a smaller more effiecient package, they drive them all over the country and have been getting 40+ mpg. Very well laid out interior w/ cool stuff, like rain sensing wipers, proxiemty key, push button start. For such a small engine it had good power and was just as fast as our focus and handled way better.

    Second was a 1.6L 5 spd manual w/ 120 hp loaded:

Looked the same, didn't like the green apple color, but has very nice black leather interior with soft touch plastics all around, again really cool tech goodies, and everything you would need in a car. The 1.6 w/ a manual flat out scooted much faster than the focus w/ a 0-60 time in about 7 sec. i would say. Very good off the line power and it still handles awesomely.

In talking to the guy he said the 1.6L will be the only aviable engine here with a both the auto and manual, and he said it will likely be equipped with a 4 cyl ecoboost!!! The only thing we felt needed to be fixed was the shifter area intruded into the drivers area a little to much, no arm rests, and small cup holders. Apprentaly they are having to run it with 92 (because of it being a euro spec car.) octane, which I hope they make it run off good ol 87.

Overall I think ford has a winner on there hands. Sorry for the lack of pics as I didn't know they were around here.

  11. Have you guys heard of these mustangs, there made by Racecraft by Saleen, they have upgraded suspension, interior, wheels, body kit, tires and of course exhuast and Supercharger. Producing 420 Hp and 400 ft lbs. for $40,000, and it qualifies for all Ford rebates and incentives. Here is a link to there website:
