Did you read the CONTRACT? Evidently not or you would see what protections we would have had under that CBA, NOTHING. No guarantee of hours, no attendance policy, no health and safety language...ON AND ON....
The point is this, hypothetically every employee could have reloaded, then they would be picked and chosen, and terminated, with no language to protect their jobs. Then the $11.50 per hour workers would be hired. The CBA didn't offer protect to either FORD, or TEMPS.
Everyone knew that there would be cuts made to wages, benefits etc...but there is more job security in the UNEMPLOYMENT line than what was presented to the membership. Why even hassle with being a UNION contract, when the UNION would have no means of representing their employees.
