  1. This statement proves just how uninformed you are.The UAW constitution has the most fair representation of members as any union in our country.you should check out what members in other unions pay in dues.GET INFORMED
  2. PC , are you a lehr operator?if you level blocks as good as you spell ,well anyway.Do you understand that body glass = more labor - less profit.Windshields=less labor - more profit.NGP has BEST IN CLASS quality,in body glass and windshields. This is mainly due to a union shop with very little turnover. We both know these processes take a while to learn.I have no doubt that Tulsa produces a good bodyglass product, but don't even try and say that Nashville doesn't.As far as your quote''OUR UNION WAS MORE WILLING TO TELL US WHAT WAS GOING ON THAN YOURS'',you are in denial. If FRED D was truly thinking about the membership at 1895 he would not have had all those temps vote to lose there JOB.Those people would actually have been given a raise if they had voted this contract in. I CAN NO LONGER CONVERSE WITH PEOPLE WHO REFUSE TO THINK FOR THEMSELVES.
  3. You are correct, flowbacks will happen again.the problem now is,you will be competing with workers throughout the ford system.the 45K that was offered to Tulsa and nashville to transfer to KC or Chicago was an enhanced package.Nasville and Tulsa members would have 1st shot at openings there.those packages were good only if the GLASS DIVISION sold.the 2007 agreement states on a transfer, you are only entitled up to 30K.I know others who have said if you transfer / flowback out of zone you will still be entitled to 45K.I personally do not know which is right.I hope it is the latter.we would not be talking about this, had the membership in Tulsa not given up these options just to make a ''stand''.standing up for yourself is the right thing to do,but you have to be smart enough to have and END GAME,that ends in your favor.
  4. whoever double checks tomorrow will find that the flowbacks are gone for now.Tulsa hr posted them today, nashville hr had them posted last friday, and took them down today. For whatever reason Tulsa hr is moving a little SLOW. :do what:
  5. The question was ''WHAT CAN YOU SAY FOR YOUR LEADERS''.As the letter states, they told us the truth, and the facts. :shades:
  6. Hey TGP,I have nothing against the membership in Tulsa,I can't say that about your leadership. If you recall there were many members who transfered to Tulsa from Nashville.Furthermore you couldn't possibly know what I know or don't know about the appeal.
  7. better go check with HR, I think HR in Tulsa is behind the curve. :reading:
  8. People in Tulsa would be getting info from there union leadership if they had something good to say to the membership. The entire appeal crap that the chairman was selling was no good.the rank and file of this local are the ones paying the price for the leaderships mistakes.
  9. This was not a UAW/FORD agreement IPS AGREEMENTS DON'T GET ANY BETTER THAN THIS.
  10. I dont know where you get YOUR facts.Any posts I have made were based on info from UAW.You are certainly entitled to your opinion, however I personally disagree with the decision of the chairman in Tulsa to undermine the contract negotiated by UAW international. The temp workers at Tulsa just voted themselves out of a job.
  11. Well, unfortunately your right,if you are a member at 1895.maybe Mr.D can tell you something.737 is telling members that zeledyne will be coming to Nashville as planned after a yes vote.Tulsa will close and that product will go to Nashville. :reading: I think Tulsa members will pay a large price for the actions of the chairman there. :shades:
  12. You guys are just not very smart,if you didnt like the contract you could transfer,or you could get 140,000 from the company while you were looking for a new gig that pays more.now that you have voted it down, you gave up the option to get 140,000 while loking for new gig.
