  1. My right front suspension is weak. I don't know how else to describe this problem. Seems like every time I go over a railroad track, pothole, speed bump or any slight indentation in the road surface my suspension bottoms out with a clunking noise. At 500 miles they replaced the front strut-but to no avail. Car now has 2200 miles went back in this week and all they came up with is an alignment? I decided to look underneath today and lifted up my front end to have a look for myself and after talking a look I came up with the springs on the struts seem weak. When I got the tires off ground i was able to squeeze the coil springs wwith one hand. Is this normal I don't think I had ever done that before without a compressor.
  2. Could you keep me inform if your 08 Focus front suspension is suspect? For i'm having some problems with mine. :stats:
  3. I'll help to get your 2008 Focus going. :reading:
  4. I will check on that today I will have to jack it to get a good view of it. This is my work car so I will put alot of miles on it and right now it makes me cringe every time I see a pothole.
  5. I purchased a 2008 Ford Focus on January 1. I was calling on all new Ford Focus owners to chime in. I've had my Focus in the shop twice already about my front suspension. The left front suspension is good but the right front suspension seems like it bottoms out when you drive over any indentation in the road. From a speed bump to a pothole and any dip in the road. The dealership has put on a new strut the first time in problem still remained and on the 2nd time in he did an alignment on it which made it drive a little tighter in the feel but the crashes still remain. Has anybody had this experience yet? We even drove another Focus and that one too had the same problem. Any TSB's out there yet?
  6. And boxier and uglier. I've had numerous Ford pick-ups through my years from a 1978 Bronco, 1981 Ford Courier(does that count?)up to a 2000 F350 Crew Cab and a 2003 Excursion and I can't stand the new F150's, sure on the inside they're nice but it's the outside that counts. I've seen the 2009's and they're not any better looking almost looks the same and until they change their looks I will not be purchasing one, maybe a Super Duty though.
