  2. Why are you spreading lies? That is not how arbitration works!! I understand if a person wants to vote No for thier own reasons. PLEASE do not spread lies! You are very wrong about Arbitration. Neither side can change wages and benifits unless they both agree or they can prove themselves absolutely to the mediator! Please, you have the right to an opinion, I respect that. You dont have the right to bold face lie to us on here!
  3. Pioneer, they are seperate, they have thier own agreement, meetings, wages...etc. I just don't understand what would be gained by this?

  6. Nothing in this agreement puts trades into production! Just for the ones who are should not recieve a pay cut!! No production worker got a direct pay cut! Why should they and thier families be punished or any diffrent?
  7. Under this new agreement skilled trades who have to return to production get to keep thier rate of pay. Just like Chrysler and GM! Also for doing the mechanical teams there will be parody amoung all trades rates within the mechanical teams they will all be brought up to highest rate in that team plant wide.. They kept all thier classifications the same....No 2 trades!!!!! :happy feet: :happy feet:

  9. again arbitration works two ways. You can't increase it unles both parties agree and you can't decrease wages and benifits unless both parties agree. If both parties agree, they can do whatever. So It is not even absolute we won't get a raise in 2011, because the auto companies like to give raises before benifits anyway. Arbitration is not a huge deal at this point in time the way I see it. As long as the UAW has the right to strike over serious issues like outsourcing and health and safety, I'm ok with that for the time being. GM and Chrysler don't have that! They have NO STRIKE CLAUSE! not on anything from what I am reading! It is still a better deal than GM and Chrysler by a large margin!!! I am still not going to say yes yet because I want to hear it first hand before I jump off that cliff.

  11. GM and chrysler gave up cost of living raises are all gone in GM and Chrysler just like ford, but now we would get a 1000 guarenteed bonus! They got to keep last Easter but it's all the same from hre on out. just so you are aware. :reading:
  12. I know man. I don't like what's been happening to us either. More people should get involved but they don't, only when somthing is negative. I have 3 grandparents and 1 parent who works for the big 3. If you think we got screwed, ask my Mom and Dad who are from Chrysler how their life is going. Our retirees have it way ,way better than GM and Chrysler Retirees. I mean way better . My mom and Dads co pays are like they work at McDonalds. No dental No vision. Ford retirees don't have those problems. I think they have done real good for retirees so far, at least in Ford. I don't want anything else taken away from my parents they work and earned it. They deserve it!
  13. Vandyke is full of work. just need to get them ilo's back next week or so..Romeo was dying on the vine and we all know it..so was Clevland engine. They both got the shot in the arm they need and so did Sterling. The entry level wage parity with GM and Chrysler makes us more able to secure even more work...and possibly keep some of the work that we were supposed to loose under Neil Wallyn's watch. Now we have a fighting chance at keeping what we have. I am excited for my plant and the eastside in general. I don't feel the so called "givebacks" outweight job security. Actual jobs are the only real security we have. Again, I am a little giddy right now for alot of reasons..I am not saying vote yes or no I am just liking what I am hearing so far. I too am waiting for a catch..I have'nt heard one yet.
  14. Bro, I don't know all the damn answers. I wish I did. I think all the ilo are going to Vandyke and Sterling. On the eastside anyway we won't have any ilo's...very soon from what I was told. I don't know about the westside at all. I never asked. I am not applauding...just excited that we are mentioned nationally in the press, it just makes me believe in the guy that much more. I have defended him pretty strong on this site and just happy he did not let us down... sorry to bust on ya about your local, I am happy they recieved a new program..good luck.

I see it as No. Simply because we can't bargain for much more at Ford and make them disadvantaged, because GM and Chrysler will have an advantage along with less debt and we look good today and tommorrow we are out of buisness but not before Ford finishes us off and make us pay for our decision. Nashville glass is a great example. I don't really know just my worries.

I just wonder if the work will be there for us in 2011 or will Ford take it all to mexico and Cnada just to prove to us they are not bullshitting? Ps if I was Bill Ford I would not be on here worried about your sorry asses...I would be enjoying a nice piece of ass on lake tahoe! I remember a thread on here when a glass plant called Ford 's bluff and turned down the agreement..The next day they had pad locks on machines...look for that thread and re read it..people changed there mind quick when they found out Ford is not bullshitting. I don;t say yes or No just listen first.
