What was/is the start date for Job #3 builds?

It arrived at my Dealer this morning 1/13/2010. Just to rub salt in the wound, they said that normally I could of picked it up today, but since the only guy in the entire Dealership that can do the paper work will not be in all day I can't. So I am going to go get it tomorrow at 12:Noon. I was going to give them a shot at meeting the online price for the extended warranty, but after this I will buy it from fordwarrantys.com and save the $177. in sales tax on the ESP.

As of today My Flex is still on it's Honeymoon, at the Supreme Auto Transport depot in Niagara Falls, NY. Ordered 10/28/2009 Built 12/2/2009 Left Oakville Plant 1/5/2010 Arrive at Selling Dealer ???

I think my Flex hooked up with a Super Duty in the Supreme Auto Transport depot in Niagara Falls and they are still on their Honeymoon.

Yes, What I'm told is that they had to replace the PTO (power transfer unit) on 750 AWD vehicles assembled in the Oakville Plant since 12/2/2009. My Flex has been done and released to Transport, I don't know how many of the 750 have had the PTO replaced already.

Once again my Flex is sitting in a lot. It is now in the Supreme Auto Transport depot in Niagara Falls, NY. I spoke to a dispatcher at Supreme and he said he hopes to get it out of there by the end of the week. I hope he is talking about this week. I wonder if it will have to make any more transfers or if it will come here to Long Island, NY in one shot.

Yesterday late afternoon, I left a message for Ford Customer Care to please call me back with an update. They called this morning about 9:AM to tell me that my Flex is on a truck and on its way. I'm not holding my breath, but I think I can see some light at the end of the tunnel.

I just checked with the Ford Customer Care Center and lo and behold their was an update form 11:30 AM today. It said that my Flex was released to the transport company today. I still don't know when it will actually head out on a truck or what the quality hold for so long was for, but it's definitely a step in the right direction. SOUTH!

I don't know if it is or not, but my Flex rolled off the assembly line on 12/2/2009 it should have been long gone before the shutdown.

I am starting to think that the problem is with the EcoBoost package. I don't think yours is an EcoBoost. So that may be why it was shipped? Good Luck

After I left two messages for them, I received a message today from the Ford Customer Care Center, that since the Oakville Plant is closed for two weeks they can't get much info, but that they "think" that my Flex will be released for shipment the first or second week of January.

No, I left a message for my dealer yesterday and as of now no response.

Thats what I am trying to find out. I wonder if the one from the MKT will fit in the Flex?

The problem is that this delay may well cost me thousands of dollars. 1- The Federal sales tax credit expires on 12-31-09. The sales tax in NY (8.625%) on a $46,000.+ purchase is significant. 2- The current rebates ($2,500.) end 1-4-2010 and who knows what if anything will replace them. With Ford you get the rebate which is in effect when you take delivery, not what it was when you ordered. 3- I have a $750. coupon which expires soon. 4- If you have a vehicle coming off lease at the end of the month it may force you to do a buyout that you did not want to do on a car with a current value which may be less than its buyout price which was set at the start of the lease.

I don't know for sure if their is a stop ship order for Oakville or not. All I know is what I was told by the Ford Rep. Here is the File Reference Number "0410143559" for anyone who can access it. That file contains the Ford Problem Resolution Center Supervisors notes of what she told me.

I was told "ALL VEHICLES FORM OAKVILLE WERE UNDER A DO NOT SHIP ORDER". But I guess you have to consider the source.
