  1. Whats wrong with this country is YOU GUYS push your dogma on us who wish to not practice your invisable-man religion theory's. If any one questions or try's to debunk your superstitions then they must be automatically something wrong with them. Well I see a fanatical christion running the country so hows that working for us??
  2. KCAP will not cut a shift do to all the churning that will take place do to reduction of force the layoff would create sending employees to the SUV side and vice versa. They would have to retrain the whole plant as no one would be on the same job, shift, system etc. Also heard KCAP will get a new product to build with the f-150 to supplement the downturn in sales and keep DTP running the 3 crew. They did cancel the friday OT for the truck side in trucks. Still looking at the first two weeks in june for DW's.
  3. Heard a certain former chairman at KCAP got a verbal beat down at the union mtng. nominations on sunday. Showed his ignorence and the big man stomped a mud hole in his ass. The company's selection for chairman got mad and took his ball and went home!!!! How can you lead a union when you call every one who negotiated the local all a bunch of liars. We have a good bargaining comm. so how can you expect to bring unity when you slam all you could be working with?????
  4. Yes the chairman gets paid seven days a week. Is there production running on the weekends? He may not be at the plant for every single hour but is on call and must come in 24/7 if needed. The chairman at our local has worked 17 hour days and some days gets a call to the plant at 1am in the morning and shows up. Though not on the clock he still comes in. So if I put in 14 hours mon thriugh fri. and I decide to leave the plant it does not always mean they are skipping out. At the end of the week I promise most chairmans are not getting the pay for the time they put in. example, all the phone calls, talikng to employees at stores when you run into employees, you give then the time for there questions and I am not on the clock but that is what he raised his hand for. Just like an onion you peel the first layer to find many more layers and the story continues........
  5. At KCAP we have DC's for each area and shift. The DC's make rounds and are on the floor everyday and they see there peaple at least 3 to 4 times a week. There is no rotation of DC's the DC's run for the area there in a remain so for the duration of the term.
  6. It sure is easy to hide in the crowd and throw rocks. but never try and stand on the stage and catch them, If night shift were to start on a saturday at there regular start time and you were to go to the truck side to fill jobs on nights do you really think day shift would not have a legit bitch. You are saying it is ok to cut out half of the SUV system for OT work when it is there system. the x-system ot rules state the system will be survayed to fill all remaining openings on the oppisite shift. then go to x-system ot list. The way you are suggesting the chairman should have done would be a direct viloation of the contract. Personally I have no problem with someone who were to disagree with the union, differing opinion is a good thing but when you throw mud that is untrue and offer no solution's to the problems you yourself are bringng up then you are part of the problem. On one hand you say the chairman did not get the 4 x 10 aws agmnt. in the local contract then you state he should have violated the contract for the single shift x-system OT language. I did see the chairman over some issues I was having on my job and he seemed fine to me and actually showed me stuffin the national and explained it to me so that I was to understand and my uncle was a drunk so I know what a 4 hour lunch would smell like on the breathe and he showed no signes of your accusations.
  7. In the big blue book it does not explain the specifics on the ot. Just has the templetes that can be used to come up with an AWS agrnmt. which could be neg. on a local leval. Michigan truck in there zest to steal product away from kcap agreed to go with the ot rules to which we are against before we agreed to the coa in december '06. You are correct that the coa is no longer valid as the concesions made were implamented mostly on a national level with the ratification of the new national contract. The company wanted the roll over do to the vast improvements made at kcap at the local leval. It is not called a coa it is just the contract now. The AWS issue was agreed to be rolled over into the new contract before the co. did a 180.
  8. Sir, Don't know who told you this bunch of false crap, But Dec, of '06 when we voted on the COA the twin city's agrmnt. on the 4 x 10 AWS schedule was included in the COA. During contract neg. it was agreed to roll over all componets of the already agreed to COA from DEC. '06 except for languge that would be superceded from the national contract.( like our attendance progarm was superceded by the NAT that was neg. up north.) It was signed off in neg. That is your languge. It was agreed to and the company flat out lied on the Twin city vs. Michigan truck 4 x 10 AWS after the fact which is why the chairman cancelled the AWS. He does not have to "sneak' what is already agreed to. You sound like a company lap dog.
