  1. Hey Guys, I am not saying that I would even think of doing this because of the costs involved but, could the Blind Spot Information and Cross Traffic Alert be installed in a 2010 Milan that never had it? Also what parts would be involved and how much would it be? I didn't have the option of getting the car with it due to the fact that I needed a car right away and had to take a stock unit. Nobody else in the area had one either when I got mine one month ago.
  2. Nay 2011 Job 1 Information or pics yet? When is Job 1?
  3. As the owner of a 2010 Milan, can any of you that work at the plant show pics of the cars coming down the line?
  4. Yes, it was fast. Actually my Mom & Dad bought it new in 1976. The car came in for delivery in June and I was born in Sept. of '76. It was a Cutlass Supreme 2 Door with No Vinyl Top (An oddity in those days) plus the 455. It also had the small "dog dish hubcaps" but had full power everything. When I turned 16 I got to drive it. It was driven till 1997 when rust had really taken it's toll on it. It was too far gone. How many kids can actually say that they got to drive the car that really brought them in to the world?
  5. Wheel Alignment 1250 Miles. After about 1225 miles, I noticed that the new Milan needed a wheel alignment. The steering wheel had been pointing to the right by about 3 degrees or so but the car was tracking straight. Dealer did the 4 wheel alignment, and now everything handles the way it did when I first got it, 26 days ago. The funny thing was that it must have been something gradual that affected it. Report said that all 4 wheels were slighly out and that I would have noticed the condition soon had I not brought it in right away. Car has been great so far, and loking forward to putting on the miles!
  6. Thank you for the information. Is it possible that you can attached a photo of the Instrument Panel with the Knee Airbag from your Fusion Hybrid? Thank you again.
  7. On 2010 Milan Fusions and MKZ's I heard that they added the message center buttons to the steering wheel. If this happen, then what is in the spot where the buttons were under the headlight switches. Secondly, My 2010 Milan Job #1 is a Premiere AWD V-6. I heard on the Hybrid that there is a knee bolster airbag. Where exactly would this bag be located if I got the Hybrid? Also, why was it not made available to regular Milan customers? Are my knees worth-less to Ford than a Hybrid customer?
  8. Ok, Ok. I got both you guys beat. The Chevy Monza. Possibly the worst P.O.S. to ever get the Mark of Excellence or the Bow-tie. This was also sold as the Buick Skylark and the Oldsmobile Starfire (What an insult to the Starfire Name! I am also an Oldsmobile Fan as well! Our Story begins around August of 1980. The '81's were just coming out and my Dad who had started a new job need a car for work. He didn't know how the job would be so he figured new and cheap were the way to go. Big Mistake!!! My dad went down to the local Chevy store and in the showroom was a silver (with orange and red tape stripes down the hood) Monza Fast back. It had a red vinyl interior, AM Radio, 5 speed Man and the General's 2.5 Liter I-4 under the hood. Keep in mind this was in the days before CSI Quality Index and the lemon law. 2 weeks after taken delivery of this 1980 Monza one wheel cover snapped off due to plastic clips on them, the other 3 fell off later! 4 weeks after this, a dash relay had fried and somoke was pooring out through the A/C Vents,. Then my dad went to merge on the highway while working the 5 speed and the shift knob came off in his hand, he put it back on, then the shift imprint on the knob wound up in pieces in the palm of his hand. We live in Northern NJ and as my dad was going to see my Grandparents on the GW bridge the Alternator light came on, and the Alt fried itself. This is about month 6 in to ownership. At about month 8 the spot welds were already starting to rust as was the rear bumper. The spot welds were done by robots which this was the first GM plant to use them, we found out. There were many other details throughout this 14 month ownership wreck that was the Monza but the crowning touch was when the crappy AM Radio stopped working. My dad decided that he had enough fighting with service department and Chevrolet, plus a good size raise from work helped. He then Bought a brand new 1982 Olds 98 Regency 2 Door Coupe which served the family well up untill 1991 when my family started buying Lincolns and Fords. Our family owned the Best and worst GM had. Cadillac, Corvettes, Cutlass 455, Toronado, 98 and numerous others, but FoMoCo is where we will stay!
  9. The 2010 Grand Marquis brochure I got is the actual dealer sales brochure. However, the 2010 Lincoln Town Car sales brochure I have came off of Lincoln.com. The Town Car brochure for 2010 is not available at the dealer (Through F-Dealer etc..) or through Ford Corporate. I know this because I have a letter form FoMoCo on their letterhead stating this. The Lincoln website shows a PDF 8pg brochure avail to print which I did, but under where it says to mail a brochure, the LTC is absent for that function. All other Lincoln models are avail for Mail Brochures just no LTC. Just thought you would like to know.
  10. Finally got Gas. Pulled in to the filling station. There was a guy who pulled in front of me with a 2010 Mustang V6 Convertible. He said he loves his car... Anyway filled the Milan with 93 Octane just to see what the power difference if any the premium would be. The fill itself was very easy without the cap and when the pump shut I went one more click to "round up". No gas spill, everything went well. I have a question with regard to the Sat. Radio. Since I have a 6 month free subscription, at what point am I notified to pay for the service. I will def. pay for it as I love it. I also have a home subscription as well. Will they let me know, or do I have to call Sirius/XM and give the radio ID? Thanks.
  11. Hey Guys, Didn't get a chance to take any pics yet. We had 4 days of straight rain here and I have also been really sick so I have not been out that much, just to work and back. With that the car has about 200 miles on it. The quality is really up there and materials, wormanship etc...are the best I have seen. I have a question: When taking it for gas, I have never filled up a cap less system before. Do i just put the nozzle in, it feels and then I pull it out and that's it? Thanks for the info.
  12. Hey Guys, On Friday August 28, I traded my 2003 Explorer for a 2010 Milan with AWD. It's Black Metallic with Charcoal Leather, also has the Sony 12 Speaker Sound, Sync, etc... The car is absolutely beautiful in every way. That 3.0 motor is really quick, and handling and steering are very precise. The seats are very comfortable as well. I will keep you guys posted as I put the miles on! Also going to to be purchasing a new Mustang GT Premium Conv. soon so I will post in the Mustang area as well when I get that car. Thanks
  13. Thank you but it was the ordering guide. I was looking for the Sales Brochure that the dealers get. They usually get a special police vehicle brochure every year.
  14. Hey Guys-Have a question: How come Ford Has not released the 2010 Police Interceptor Brochure yet? Every year it is usually out by May. Any Word? If Someone has a copy can they post it? Thank you.
  15. Hey Guys, About 3 weeks ago I tied the knot with my better half. We had a 13 Day Honeymoon in Hawaii. While Staying on Kawai I rented from the Hertz Fun Collection a 2010 Mustang Convertible. It was Silver with the V6 Premium Package, along with $295.00 Tape Stripes option package. The car looked great, our luggage fit perfectly in the trunk and the new wife was actually quite impressed with it. The vehicle had 2200 miles. We had it for 4 days and in that time I put another 250 miles on it sight seeing along around that island. It got quite a lot of looks and the valets really liked it. (If it were my own car they would not have gotten within 10 feet of it) The quality is fantastic, everything lines up perfectly. The My-Color Instruments were a hit, as well as the ambient lighting. Cruising with the top down in 88* low humidity was great. I will be in the market for a new car shortly and I want to get away from the SUV. My 2003 Explorer has served me very well but I think it's time for a body style change. I will enjoying having full-time use of a new Mustang Convertible shortly, only this time in a V8 GT and Manual. Ford Motor and Flat Rock have done an impressive job.
  16. Hey Guys, Have a Question: I have a 2003 Explorer Limited Centennial Edition (Job 2) Build Date March 15. My question relates to the Audiophile Sound system: What would need to be done to be put a Audiophile head unit with Satellite Radio from a 2004 in. I know that the wiring harness that goes to the head unit is different, but what else needs to change? Can I just change the wiring harness with a 2004 Harness, get the head unit plus the Ford satellite system that plugs in to the back of it and all is well, or will be a problem to do this. I already had the center stack apart and noticed the harness is different. Also how much in parts would this run from a dealer? 2004 Head Unit $ Satellite Reciv: $ Wiring Harness: $ Anything Else:$ I want to keep it looking factory stock if possible. If someone could help, with the info, that would be great. Regards.
  17. My family and I have owned GM products for 50+ years. Notice, I said we did! We had Cadillacs, 427 Corvettes, Toronados, 455 Cutlass, and countless others....... A Big part of the problem that is General Motors is there terrible dealer network. For The past 6 years my family and I have been trying to buy a Cadillac DTS, Chevy Trailblazer SS, Corvette, a Tahoe and most recently a NEW CAMARO!!!! These dealers are either "married" to these vehicles with there pricing or they refuse to let us test drive these vehicles. My most recent experience was when I tried to go in to view a NEW 2010 Camaro on the showroom floor. Not only was it locked, but the sales manager and General Manager of this Westchester County N.Y. dealer refused to open it up to even let me sit in the vehicle. He said I had to buy the vehicle before I was allowed to even sit in it! This was the final straw! If any dealer thinks that I am going to give them close to 40K for a vehicle with out ever sitting in it, they are out of there minds! I called General Motors about this on a special hotline number, and after investigating this they said every dealer is independently owned and operated and can do what they want! Real Nice GM! I guess just as long as Obamanation continues to write you a check every quarter, you don't care whom you offend. The offending dealer would not have a 3 way conf.call with the GM rep. The rep then suggested I find another dealer. I told him this whole story and the only thing he could tell me was, "That I am Sorry" I have seen this type of scenario play out in GM stores more often than not. General Motors has some great products out there, but all the great products in the world cannot compensate for dealers that are horrible. My family and I have been to many GM dealers in the NY NJ area, and about 90% are horrible to deal with! A family member who works at the dealer can verify this and he has also echoed my concerns. I am curious if this is going on across the rest of the country? Every time my family and I have had an experience like this, we have gone straight back to FORD. There is a reason that Ford is doing so well and GM is not. It's not only the credit crisis, it's also the GM dealer network. Ford/Lincoln - Mercury Dealers have always treated us with the utmost respect and want our business. As someone who trades cars every 3-6 years, GM needs us more then we need them! My family and I will continue to look at GM vehicles in the future, but we will continue to put Fo.Mo.Co. vehicles in our driveways. Signed, The family that drove GM Products for 50+ years and have been driving Fo.Mo.Co. since 1991!
  18. Hey Everyone, Just wanted to say that I was very impressed with the 2010 GT Coupe that I was in today. I am 6'3" tall and the previous ('05-09) was not that great, seating wise for taller people. The 2010 solves that problem. As I got in to and settled in to the vehicle I had plenty of visibility and comfort. I always wanted a Mustang but was put off because of my height. I am happy to say that there will be a 2010 in the driveway real soon. Thanks Guys.
  19. Can someone please post the 2010 Expedition/Navigator Order Guide? Thank You
  20. Hi Everyone, Quick question regarding the Electrochromatic Day/Night Rearview Mirror. I believe that Gentech was the OEM source for this part and what I was wondering was why over the past year, "spots" have started to appear on the mirror. When you touch them it feels a little rough. Prior to this, I had not used anything to clean the mirror over the past 6 years except for a soft cloth every so often (few weeks - few months) Anyone have any ideas, has this happened to anyone else? Thank you
  21. Thank you very much! It will be most helpful with the new purchase. The Blue Flame LTD. 4.6 Liter V8 is something that I would like to look in to, with Navigation etc.. I have an '03 Limited Centennial Edition with 66K on it. A good truck but the paint on the hood is chipping off and the tailgate has cracked (the usual stuff Ford Knows About but won't fix). Aside from that the truck has been very good to me. I have owned 4 of them, would hate to see it go off the BOF and loose the V8. Will they be building out '10 through next year or will it be an abbreviated Model year for the all new one? Thanks.
