Just as soon as the USOB (Unscheduled Order Bank) opens after Ford announces the 2023MY Mustang scheduling and production timetable!

  2. Does anyone have a picture of the final assembly with list of options for the final MKZ/Fusion?
  3. Hey Guys, I have been so busy at work that I failed to update my new ride. I got rid of the 2010 Milan that I had, (31,500 Miles) not sorry to see it go with all that was wrong with it. I drove a new Acura TL ( Was leaning that way) did not like the ride, way too harsh. I questioned the salesperson if the car was built with shocks- that's coming from someone that drove a 97 Explorer which was way firm! So....My friend who is a Lincoln Dealer had a Tuxedo Black Met., Premium Package, AWD 2013 MKS on the floor, the only one they had left as they sold 5 of them 3 days before. I saw it on the floor and fell in love right then and there! Had to have it, picked up March 21 and it is great with the improvements that they made even over my dad's 2010 Ecoboost. Yes, I will say it: I thought about straying away but after seeing how much better these cars are that Ford/Lincoln is producing I am glad I came back. A Special Thank you to everyone at Chicago for assembling a high quality automobile.
  4. After seeing this 2013 MKS I just have to say that I know now where the 1977-78 Oldsmobile Omega grill wound up. I am disappointed in the Ford, Lincoln brands. Attn Alan: Please fire the designer associated with this and hire the guy that designed the 2013 XTS. If Lincoln is serious about playing with the luxury big boys, they better start making products look good, cause that new MKT and MKS are not getting any love from the public. Oh Alan one more thing, put a V-8 under the hood of the MKS. I know Eco-Boost this and that (My Dad has one of these) but for 50K I want a V8 Sound.
  5. Yes Please! I will buy one if they make it. Can I send my deposit to Alan?
  6. No Tires are good, they are the OEM Michelin Pilots that came with the car. The tread life is very good due to it being driven very carefully. All weights are on the wheels. The vibration does seem to keep coming and going though, sometimes everything is smooth. On a side note, had the trans flare last night taking off from a light. Went from 1600 rpm to 4000 and then shifted fine after that. The only thing I do know is that after 5 of the last 6 Ford products have had trans/valve body failure, I am not so inclined to give the blue oval another shot. I think when the lease is over in 10 months or less, the 20 year relationship with Ford will be also. These cars are just too expensive to have the same stuff keep happening. Even the Mustang with it's Chinese build manual units are horrible. What has happened to Ford? In addition my friend who is a dealer has seen way too many My Touch Systems lock up. Obviously that system is not ready for prime time yet, I don't need a smart phone on wheels, I just want the wheels to keep rolling so to speak. If the technology is that "so called advanced" that people have to have classes on how to use it, that's not intuitive and the engineers didn't do their job on that either.
  7. Hey Guys, Got 2 questions on my 2010 Milan V6 AWD which already had the trans rebuilt at 12 K and had 2 reflashes to the PCM. Over the last 4 weeks, I am getting at about 40-60 MPH a vibration. It's not loud but it can be felt in the steering wheel/column , the console, etc... It's slight but I do notice it. Mileage is 25,500. The lease is up in 10 months. Just wondering could it be the torque converter not seated properly since it does feel like a drive-line vibration. Also the passenger A-pillar and the Drivers B-pillar has a lot of plastic noises coming from it when the temp is at 60* or below.
  8. I drive a 2010 Mercury Milan with AWD because I want to be able to get around in all types of weather. Problem Is, I wanted to buy a Mustang, and I still would when my lease is up but one thing will hold me back...The Mustang is not available with AWD? Why is This?? In areas such as the Northeast, AWD would help in going the long way when you have tremendous amount of snow and ice that we face here. Yes, I can drive a RWD or a FWD car with no problem in the snow, but the Mustang would be my all around choice for driving pleasure, because I do not fancy "white knuckle" slipping and sliding...I got around just fine with the AWD on my trucks as well as my Milan, and I am sure there would be enough of a take rate to make the option viable. Come on Ford, Build an AWD Mustang and We Will Buy It! Alan, are you listening??
  9. Hey Guys, I was at Saxon Woods Golf Course in Scarsdale NY Last Friday 4/15/11 and in the parking lot was this 2011 Citroen C6! It has French License Plates on it and I managed to get two photos of it. Why was it here? Will Citroen be again entering the market place in North America?
  10. '10 Milan Great Sound, Love Sirius too!
  11. That was the same parts they replaced on my Milan as well...
  12. Well, Let's See...Took it back in a few weeks ago, dealer said they could not get the condition to present itself that I have experience and that to bring it back in when it did occur. The issues are still there only intermittent but the dealer cannot duplicate. The revised valve body assembly is still a problem and will continue to be until the lease is up and my license plates come off. The vehicle now has 18,600 miles and I have resigned myself to the fact that the Blue Oval cannot build a trans to shift properly. After having multiple different Ford Products that have had issues with a valve body, I can accept that. What I cannot accept is this problem at these purchase prices. The next vehicle may be a Mustang but with harsh winter weather and no AWD available, this may not be so good. I may get an MKS ECO Boost like my dad has but who knows if Lincoln will go the way of Mercury (and yes, it IS possible), maybe it is time for a (Dare I Say) Import!? Have 17 months to decide..... BTW, the dealer also did the PCM Reflash again after the revised valve body was installed and it did not matter.
  13. As someone who has had many different Fo.Mo.Co. Products over the years, my parents and I have come to 3 conclusions about the vehicles: 1. They make great cars 2. They've have week transmissions and will crap out and... 3. Window Regulators will blow and with little miles on them, seen them go from 3000 miles - 70,000 miles. This is the way it is, acceptance is key with Fo.Mo.Co vehicles.
  14. My V6 AWD Milan now has 16,900 Miles on it. The valve body was done at 12k. Over the last two weeks I have had an intermittent condition where when the car is started cold and warmed up (Sometimes 30 seconds - Sometimes 10 minutes), I back out of my parking space and then put the car into Drive and I get a delayed engagement followed by a bump when it does go in. It so far only happens on a cold start, can some one tell me what this is? I am going to take it in next week...
  15. Lincoln skips Detroit, maybe New York? Dealers need news soon January 6, 2011 - 12:32 pm ET Jamie LaReau covers Ford Motor Co. for Automotive News Lincoln dealers must look with envy at Buick dealers as General Motors Co. shows off its 2012 Buick Verano compact sedan. Lincoln dealers still must wait to see the compact vehicle Ford Motor Co. will deliver as promised by 2014. And if Lincoln dealers hope for that news -- or any Lincoln product news -- during the Detroit auto show, they'll be sorely disappointed. Mum is still the word on Lincoln. Maybe Detroit isn't the right venue for a luxury brand to make a key reveal? After all, GM's luxury brand, Cadillac, is bypassing this show. Perhaps the New York auto show might be a better venue for Lincoln news. That's only a few months away and historically has featured more luxury reveals. But Ford's delay in revealing details of the “seven new or significantly improved” Lincoln products it has promised in the next four years can't be sustained much longer. Ford must reveal some product news on its remaining luxury brand this year -- period. After all, Ford has asked each of its Lincoln de Read more: http://www.autonews.com/article/20110106/BLOG06/110109915/1115#ixzz1AXgtI4ti
  16. My wish was a Maurader with the new 5.0 L and 6 Speed Manual and a 3.55 Traction Lok. R.IP. Mercury 1939-2011 Just does not seem right that the last Mercury is a Rental Car. Should have gone to the Henry Ford Museum....Just like the last Pontiacs were G6 Rentals. Terrible!
  17. And If Mercury was any indication, 4-5 years from now the headline will read "Ford Division Getting All Of Lincoln's Ad Dollars". Even if Lincoln does get the much talked about new products (just like Mercury did with Milan and Mariner) you need to: #1 Have people wanting to buy a Lincoln, just like they want an Audi/Mercedes Etc... #2 Having a Sales/Service experience on par with Acura/Audi/Mercedes Etc... In my opinion, I feel that Fo.Mo.Co. should just concentrate on Ford Division. I am 34 years old and yes, I grew up around Ford/Lincoln/Mercury Products and also drive a 2010 Milan. The problem is most of my friends cannot understand why I would buy a Mercury or A New Lincoln. Most people my age upon seeing my new Milan thought Mercury was discontinued years ago, and I was also told why would I spend $45-50 K on a Lincoln when I could buy a Mercedes/BMW or Audi. BTW: My Next car to replace the Milan Lease will be a Lincoln MKS. The reason is simple: I like Fo.Mo.Co. and the MKS with EcoBoost and AWD is great. My Dad has one and we both love it. The problem is most younger people my age do not see Lincoln as that Performance/Luxury Vehicle and that is sad. I hope I am Wrong about all of this but if history is any indication....
  18. As someone who has the trans blow on my 2010 Milan with only 12k on it, I can say that is bad but in your case on the second day of ownership that is appaling! You should really insist. On a new car not one with a rebuilt tranny. that's crazy! For such a high quality vehicle the 2010-2011 Milan Fusion have had more than their share of tranny issues.
