Rumor going around work is the Transit Van - but one of the local news stations reported that we are supposedly getting the new C-Max minivan - figured it would be going to where the new Focus platform is being built??

I work at the Kansas City Assembly plant - just wanted everyone to know that the State Senate & House have just approved the tax breaks for Ford - it now goes to the Govenor for his signature which is a given as he is the one who called the special session. I believe that every possible rumor that you can imagine has been floating around the plant now for the past few months - with the tax breaks passed I hope now that Ford will make an offical announcement about the future of the KCAP and let all of the KC employees know what their future holds. At this point in time I wouldn't want to bet any money on if Ford decides to keep the plant open or ends up shutting it down with all of the rumors swirling around - will be good to hear something definate from Ford in the near future

Since your all for giving the company more and more why dont you just quit, signing a document that you will also give up all of your pension & bebefits as well, then you can go to work for Wal-Mart - they love pro-company people like you!! I am all for helping the company out when times are bad, but the workers have given their fair share - and the upper mgmt hasn't given a dime or lost any of their "perks" such as private plane rides home every weekend for Alan and Mark Let Upper Mgmt step up to the plate and "help out" the company now with significate pay cuts, then they can say that their salaries are now like the transplants as well - last time I heard that the Toyota CEO made $500,000 last year - compare that to Alans salary of $34 million and bonuses!! Put your money where your mouth is Upper Mgmt and do like you want your hourly worker to do. Last time the workers give back concessions the big-wheels a few weeks later all got huge bonuses!! Screw the workers and give theirselfs payraises/bonuses!?!?! Screw that I would rather see the company go bankrupt than to have upper mgmt keep screwing the workers and screwing the company out of every dime that they can get out of them while the hourly workers keep giving and giving the Mgmt keeps taking and taking!!

Mullaly keeps saying we need to be more in-line with what the transplants are making....well we have already give and give, and now according to the experts we are pretty much on the same level....EXCEPT what the upper MGMT is making! My understanding is that the Toyota CEO made a salary of $500,000 last few years - with no bonusus. Last time I checked Mullaly made around $34 million plus bonusus. Cut the crap if you want to be more like the transplants start at the top and make your upper mgmt salaries like those of the Japs/Koreans etc. Upper Mgmt is some of the greediest people on the face of the earth!! Remember Mark Fields saying that we all need to "share in the pain and sacrafice" well Mark sure and the hell didn't sacrafice any of his salary or his personal jet for his weekely trips to Florida. The hourly workers give up more of their hourly wage(s) & benefits, then upper Mgmt will have a meeting and reward theirselfs after everyone agrees to wage cuts, then will give theirselfs all huge bonusus!! On top of all of this look at all of the things that have been promised and hardly anything has been delivered as far as product commitment!! But upper Mgmt has no problem spending millions of dollars overseas when the work should be kept here in the USA. Maybe we should see about outsourcing some of their jobs!!! For all of you who keep voting yes for all of this concessions maybe you should start start telling Ford that you will pay them to work there! Trust me if it was up to Ford we would all be in there working for minimum wage with no benefits!!! And of course the big-wheels in Detroit would all vote theirselfs another huge pay raise! It's kinda like a chicken voting to elect Col Sanders
