Thank You all for your input. This is not a skilled trades issue this is a production issue. No we not are getting to vote on this they are just doing it. I have searched the National agreement and at this time I have not been able to find any language in regards to this issue. Thanks Again

Ok Im sorry I guess I should have been a little more clear. Ok We are going to 3 shifts all shifts will be 8 hours. They are telling us that we will be getting a 15 min break in the morning and a 25 min break at 11 which they are calling lunch then no afternoon break. Both breaks are going to be a paid break.I was just wondering what other plant on the same schedule were doing or getting. Thanks How many shifts are they running at KTP. Are those breaks all paid breaks?

We are looking for any plants out there that is on straight 8 hours. We need to know how many breaks do you get and do you get a paid lunch. Please any info will help. Thanks

I do believe they are going through the recall rights per our contract,where is the violation there, members have recall rights prior to jobs being posted. As far as the last committee, did that committee have members that where removed from their area and place else where in the plant? Did they have to deal with recall rights? NO,I dont believe they did. If it was not for the recalls going on those jobs would have been posted. Gary and Kevin are NOT my Boys they are our elected officials trying to clean up the mess that the last committee left them. Yes, I know the difference between Alt and full time reps. apparently you did not read my statement. Kevin was alt and moved up to full time Rep. You must have missed that.. Nevertheless he is doing his job, he was present on the floor daily,until he went to afternoons doing his rotation with the other 2 bargainers as they agreed upon. I dont hear anyone on the floor complaining, I'm more concerned about your attitude you must have lost the election to be so angry at them. Good Night..

Mackdaddy, You seem to be very very bitter,in every post you have or are apart of you are bitter I cant help to think "Did this person lose in the election?" My question and comment to you is, have you been to any of the local meetings? Have you ever stood up and voiced your complaints to our elected committee? Or do you just hide behind this web site with this fake name? I do agree with you on a few things like Cindy, she is a major problem NO ONE wants to deal with her, she is a liar, a back stabber, and can not be trusted. I have not dealt too much with Steve but from what I do know he is not nearly as bad as Cindy, he does know our contract and is doing the best he can with what he was dealt, you have to remember this team did not negotiate this contract or any of the side deals that were made. Kevin was an elected offical prior to being laid off and placed at wixom. He was very helpful then and to this day has never fed me any BS. He has always answered my question and if he did not have an answer he would get it and get back to me. I think he is the most honest out of the 3 BC and is doing a great job considering what he has to work with. Listen, we all need to stick together like UAW members are suppose to. Sitting here bashing our committee is not doing anything but tearing the Union apart. This is the time we need to band together and stand strong. Everyone knows how the economy is doing and that change has to come in order for us to survive. This is no fault of the committee, current or past. If you feel things should be done differently step up and speak up in person. If you have suggestions to improve things then bring it to the committee. Like I said bashing them on this web site is not going to change a thing. Its more then apparent that you have ideas on how things should be done why not share them. Maybe things are going on that you're not aware of that would explain a few things to you. I just feel we should be "UNITED AUTO WORKERS" we should stand for what we say we are.
