  1. Ford doesn't pay the dealership $2300! If you believe that you believe the tech gets paid $95 an hour.

God I hated that: "What's your shop rate?" $75 an hour (this is a few years ago in S. Dak) "Your mechanic gets $75 an hour!?!

That's right Zippy, we give it all to the tech! Screw the electric bill, taxes, etc. The other one is "just have another dealer GIVE you the part to fix my car."

Sure, it's just like going next door to the neighbors for a cup of sugar.

  2. The Camaro SS has a 6.2l at 426 hp not a 5.7l. On GMI it's posted that the 0-60 time is 4.7 seconds.

A 2010 Mustang GT with the Track Pack runs it in 4.9. 1.6l more displacement, 111 more hp and a 6-speed to the GT's 5-speed and thats all the better it does?

Can you say oink oink? The Camaro fanboys better celebrate hard because I think the Coyote and Ecoboost will ruin their party when they hit the streets.

  3. You guys have reading comprehension problems? Read this again: "According to sources in the know, Ford’s brand-new, large-displacement, two-valve OHC 6.2-liter premium V8, formerly referred to as the Boss V8, is now expected to find its way under the hood of several F-150 models "

Key word is "sources". They're not just going off the double tip exhaust which is NOT the diesel tip by the way. :banghead:

  4. Details? What vehicle? Exactly what is being replaced that costs over $6000.00?

" At a high level my brakes failed" Huh? Can you put that in english?

You did know that the bumper to bumper was 3yr/36000 miles not 3 1/2 and 42000 miles. I don't think you deserve a $6000 brake bill but you can purchase an extention for your warranty which would be much less than $6000.

Did you buy the car new? Are you working with the dealer you purchased it from? Dealers do have a "Goodwill" program they can use for certain good customers of theirs. It is at their discretion who they tap into it for.
