  1. Thanks alot guess I read over that!!! Sorry but thanks
  2. U anit the only one!!!!
  3. Maybe I am asking the same question thezip is but those positions that are available are only being offered to working WAP/ISA employees and not those on ILO from Wayne?
  4. Not trying to be a busy body however there are folks at Saline that transferred from WAP with 7 years senority so I dont know how much time you referring to but that is fact not ficition!!! I am not trying to be an asshole just stating facts no disrespect at all.
  5. Yep now check those verus Fusion numbers and in 08 we were working more!!!
  6. Best advice talk to Labor maybe you can find out what number you are on the call back list or contact Bill, Scott or Dwayne. The plant will be down for two weeks maybe you will get your call during that time. Hell, they laid me off while the plant was down maybe it will work in reverse for you!!!! :stats:
  7. Monday I spoke with my committee man informed me that they had about 42 openings after the first buyout and they were calling folks back to fill those spots. My friend who was laid off May 1st said he got a call yesterday to report back June 15th. Then another person said the plant talk was that 50 were returning this is the Assembly side I cant speak on folks from ISA but I hope they return as well. So I think that the only ILO's now are '02 folks like me. One last bit of info committee man also said that those still on ILO, sub weeks are not going to be deducted (dont know how true that is). He said they are hoping those still on ILO will either return to WAP after the buyout ends June 26 or go elsewhere. So keep your fingers crosssed cause you know things change so fast who knows what the future holds.
  8. I just wanted to say congrats for those of you (50) who have been called back to WAP. Dont work too hard!!! :hyper:
  9. Well I think if they can save jobs for now is a win for them and their families. Who knows whats going to happen by Dec hell who knows what will happen next week after GM files Chapter whatever. Now since I have been off for awhile I have heard and read reports on Ford no where have I found that they will soon be in the same boat. All media reports Ford is putting out is they are fine they have sufficent funds even to endure worst sales numbers. In fact, they stated on many many media outlets such as Larry King "We see no need to layoff any blue color workers"-but thats not true so who the hell knows anymore.
  10. I also received my ILO notice todaay which I was expecting since the buyout window closed today... But while on Freep.com they have a article that states "Ford Extends Buyout Window until June 26". When I was first laid off in March it was coded ILO then later that afternoon they called and changed to TLO. Jose (committee person) informed me "due to the fact there is a buyout package open the company cannot place you on ILO until they know the exact amount of folks that will be signing up for it. All that being said can anybody tell me wouldnt that still be the case since they extended the offer?? Called Jose he is still checking on information. So if you can give me any insight it would be nice. One more piece of info he told me they worked out a deal that would cease any additional layoffs (which is a good thing for those we are working :happy feet: ) lets pray that blessing comes our way!!
  11. I have to say myself quit with all the WAP vs MTP crap!!!!!!. The last time I checked we all have to pay bills, eat and basically be able to survive!!! Quote from the Great Rodney King (although he drove a Hynudai) " Can't we all just get along" :hyper: DAMN!!!!
  12. I was laid off in the first round back in March. When the listing for other plants opened up later last year and early this year. My commitee man informed me that I had nothing to worry and there was no need to sign up for other plants so silly trusting me believed him and didnt sign. Since then others at Wayne were laid off and there is word more cuts are coming. Someone commented that His aunt couldnt get a Focus with an excellent credit rating but was approved for a Fusion. My view is that makes since Ford is trying to beat out Chevy (Malibu) and Honda (Accord) and Toyota (Camry) for Mid-size sales even since late last year they were selling fully loaded Fusion for less than a Focus. True it was a model year closeout making room for '10 version. But from an economical stand point why would you buy a Focus if you can get a larger car cheaper. The Hybrid Fusion get 41 mpg while the Focus (if I could remember the commericial) gets approx. 35. As far as gas prices goes I believe folks at dealerships will push the Fusion even more now over the Focus. I dont want to see anyone else laid off from WAP and hopefully the Union will fight harder for them. However, I feel those of us who are laid off already might not be so lucky. We dont have 10 years in the company (some started as part timers but that time dont mean nothing) and they only have to keep us covered (financially) for one year then we are off their books. We have recall right (I guess) but if MAP doesnt open up sooner than later we are screwed. I keep hearing there are folks working at other plants with less time than us (believe it or not) and many plants still have temps. I dont know how long they will have us as TLO. I dont know how many signed up and know if that will help us or just help the company since they are overcrowded as it is. Also, The Detroit News quoted Junior on the move to MAP "We are willing to do whatever it takes to make MAP competitive" (that is scary too!!) Many of you who may read this may have many more years than we do and you dont feel any sympathy for us but when you went thru tough times (layoffs plant closing) there was alot uncertainity for you and your family so dont blast me so bad because I viewing my concerns. Those who are laid off we have been here before although times are different we gotta keep our heads up and take advantage of every option they have available to laid off autoworkers . Keep God first and try to enjoy your summer. For those who are still working wishing you the very best!!!!! Love for everybody!!!!!!!!!!
