I can't see having anymore down time until the dealerships are full of 2015 models.
-
Last I heard there is no more downtime scheduled for the near future.
-
they were planning a layoff for next week and decide against it. That better?
-
Layoff has been cancelled.

I am in stamping so I don't know for sure, but a supervisor told me MAP is only going 4 hours. I don't know what kind of affect that will have on body or stamping if any
-
I never said I was complaining. I just said it made no sense.

Anyone know the reason behind MAP working 10.5 hours everyday when there is talk of multiple layoffs between now and the end of the year. Makes no sense to me.
-
They have said in the team leader meetings that the week of 5/5 and 6/23 were talked about along with the June 30 shutdown week. I also heard another week along with the August shutdown.
-
Where have you seen that we are scheduled for a down week at MAP?

I just wondered how the tool and die at ISA and/or MAP like the AWS. I may have an opportunity to get into tool and die at ISA/MAP and wanted some input from anyone who is currently working tool and die there. I worked as a tool and die apprentice before and was laid off after completing my apprenticeship. I haven't worked tool and die since and that's been almost 10 years ago now. I'm just worried that I won't get the retraining that I need and that they will expect me to know more than I will because its been so long. I am currently working in ISA on the line right now. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I have heard they are looking for 6 temp. tool and die at the Saline plant. Anyone else heard or have more info? I guess sign up is until 5pm tomorrow(Friday).
-
Has anyone heard anything new about downtime? Seems the forum has changed the subject. LOL

All you should have to do is claims weeks of unemployement through MARVIN when it is your time to call, Ford files the initial claim for us.
Thanks, that what I thought Just wanted to make sure
-
I guess I should have checked about this earlier in the week, but does Ford still file our claims for unemployment or do we have to do this ourselves? I am working in Saline, but laid off this week due to DTP being down. Thanks

Heard AAI is down, is it the new 5.0 from Essex issues?
I heard it was something to do with the V8 engines, not sure exactly what.

I was off work today but heard rumor that AAI was going to run out of parts and have the rest of the week off again. Anyone from A shift on here tonight?
-
I work at Saline. I was just curious why they say Saline people have to return. What about the other temp. assignments? Shouldn't they have to return to AAI.
My guess is that whatever happens with the people at Saline, it will be that same for the people at Sheldon Rd. I am a temp. at AAI that came from Sheldon Rd. Trades. So I am trying to figure out whats going to happen to the temps who went to AAI.
-
Thanks.
Did they say anything about the Sheldon Road temp. assignments?
at the meeting they didn't get into any of that. Are you an AAI member working at Sheldon Road?
-
Wow some temp who hired in September who's calling in sick and I've been laid off for 8 months. Marry Christmas Ford management and UAW international, that’s the way to look out for your employees.
I happen to have 15 years at Ford. I am a skilled tradesman work temp production. Its not like I started in September, Ass

It should also be on your weekly overtime sheets if they do not have it posted, worst case is go to labor and get a print out stating your seniority date.
I havent been to work because ive been sick. I wanted it for the call in, but ive just been leaving a message thru HR. Thanks tho.
