  1. Dammit! I just saw the updated info on the CARS MSRP. There was nearly the same Lariat here in my hometown that was a few hundred dollars over 45k with all of its options and a King Ranch with a moon roof that was about a grand over 45k with its options. I actually just now got back from Idaho with that Lariat you posted. It's a beautiful truck, so I'm just going to have to try to block the the what-could've-beens out of my mind.
  2. Well the one in Idaho is available, but they are being wishy-washy on Cash for Clunkers and want me to write a $4500 check to cover it if it falls through. I'm starting to consider whether or not I might be able to live with the 3.55 Limited Slip. Here are the two trucks I'm considering: Option 1: 820 miles away 3.73 Limited Slip Max Tow Package Fixed Rear Window Chrome Package Option 2 160 miles away 3.55 Limited Slip Sliding Rear Window Chrome Step Bar Skid Plates In either case, I'll be driving there and driving the new truck back. So what it really comes down to is whether or not the 3.73 with max tow is worth forfeiting a sliding rear window. I live in Colorado and do a lot of mountain driving, so I thought the 3.73 would be better. I don't have any current plans for towing, but you never know what the future may bring.
  3. Also, it looks like I could actually find a King Ranch under 45k MSRP if I stick to Black or Stone Green and can find one that doesn't have a moonroof or navigation (proving to be tricky). Are there any of those available: King Ranch 4x4Super Crew Black or Stone Green 6 1/2 Ft Bed 3.73 Limited Slip
  4. WillSD, thanks for checking. I will be calling them first thing in the morning. I did check their website and the truck isn't showing up, but hopefully it hasn't been updated. If I decide I don't need to sleep this weekend, are there any available anywhere in the lower 48?
  5. Tell me about it. I absolutely love the white sand, but if it turns out the answer is no, does opening the exterior color up to black (and leaving the interior tan) open up more options?
  6. Dude, that is perfect! Unfortunately, they sold it yesterday. Are there any other ones out there? EDIT - I should mention that the one that shows up for Smith's Auto in Utah has been sold (it's the one I was supposed to have purchased).
  7. Last weekend, I purchased a vehicle through a local dealer that had to be shipped in and just got a call from my salesman saying that the other dealer sold it out from under us. I'm pissed and am now wanting to just put a down payment on a truck and then go and pick it up myself (and use my x-plan discount to cover travel costs). I'm trying to find a fairly specific F-150 and have been using the Ford Partner site to search dealer inventories, but that is limited to searching based on zip code. I'm looking for an F-150 within 750 miles of zip 80128: Lariat White Sand Tri-Coat Metallic Super Crew 6 1/2 Ft Bed 3.73 limited slip Camel tan leather interior Captain's Chairs Lariat Plus Package <= $45,000 (Cash For Clunkers Maximum) I would really appreciate any help.
  8. For the context of these questions, standard audio refers to the 6-disc in-dash option and premium refers to the Sony 700 watt (yeah right) option. 1. On either the standard or premium, is there an auxiliary input on the backside (hidden) of the radio or is the only auxiliary input accessible on the dash (visible)? The reason I ask, is I would like to hook something up to it permanently, and don't want the wires showing. 2. Does either radio have RCA outs so an aftermarket amp can be added? 3. Does the standard audio system have all of the same speaker mounting locations (including the subwoofer) as the premium system (regardless of whether or not the speaker mounts are actually populated with speakers)? 4. Is it possible to replace the Sony amp in the premium sound system with an aftermarket amplifier while still using the stock radio?
  9. Is to $2500 or $4000. When I select a Crew Cab F150 for Zip Code 80128 on the Ford Incentives site, it says: $1500 Drive the Ford Difference Retail Bonus Customer Cash (Program #11704) AND $1500 Retail Customer Cash (Program #11708) AND $1000 Ford Credit Retail Bonus Customer (Program #11710)
  10. I'm going to purchase a new '09 FX4 at the end of the month and have a couple questions. First, I'm an X-Plan member. I can't find exactly what I'm looking for at any of the local dealerships, but I talked to a sales rep, and he said that they could transfer a vehicle in from another location within 500 miles or so. He didn't know that I was an X-Plan member when I was talking to him, so is that something they would do for an X-Plan member and how would that affect pricing? Lastly, I'm confused about the current incentives Ford is offering on the F150. When I pull up an '09 Super Crew from the Ford Incentives Website, this is what shows up: Cash Purchase Offers $1500 Drive the Ford Difference Retail Bonus Customer Cash Program #11704:Take new retail delivery from dealer stock by 8/3/2009. See dealer for residency restrictions and complete details. AND $1500 Retail Customer Cash Program #11708:Take new retail delivery from dealer stock by 8/3/2009. Excludes Hybrid models. See dealer for residency restrictions and complete details. AND $1000 Ford Credit Retail Bonus Customer Program #11710:$1,000.00 Ford Credit Bonus cash requires Ford Credit financing. Not all buyers will qualify. Take new retail delivery from dealer stock by 8/3/2009. See dealer for residency restrictions, qualifications and complete details. The second thing they have which is just an image with some embedded text states the following: 0% APR Financing -PLUS- $1500 Cash Back. $1,500 Drive The Ford Difference Bonus Cash (PGM #11704). Not all buyers will qualify for Ford Credit limited-term financing. 0% APR financing for 36 months at $27.78 per month per $1,000 financed regardless of down payment (PGM #20202). Take new retail delivery from dealer stock by 8/3/2009. See dealer for qualifications and complete details My question on program 1: When I pull up the Ford Partner site with my X-Plan code, the $1500 Drive the Ford Difference shows up as a Local Offer. It isn't immediately obvious that it can be combined with the other cash back programs and doesn't show up in the "internet price" when I view dealers' inventories from the partner site. It may be easier for me to just show you: https://www.msu.edu/~joshd/incentives/Dispatch.jsp.htm My question on program 2: Would either of the other rebate programs (11708 or 11710) apply? I'm assuming not, but thought I'd ask.
  11. "Please note select category 2 trucks may not show F-150 as an eligible vehicle" I wasn't able to get the F150 to show up at all. I'm planning on trading in for a F150 with my current category 2 truck and per cars.gov, everything is in order, but I have a feeling dealerships are going to treat this calculator as the gospel. I went into a dealership today that is currently allowing customers to get in on this early and that's exactly what they were doing.
