  1. I am a Ford fan and I do agree Ford needs to keep a competitive small pick up truck. I agree that the F-150 is just way too big for my needs. If Ford were truly interested in moving Ranger customers to the F-150, they would offer the regular cab/short box version of it with the new V-6 for 2011. At this time, it is not clear to me if that configuration is even an option for the 2011 F-150. However, I actually like the current Ranger. IMO all Ford needs to do is refresh the interior and add more efficient engines and transmission choices while keeping it conforming to safety laws. That alone could give it a few more years until a better choice is ready. I am not at all interested in buying an imported Ford truck. Manufacture it here or I'll be putting down my money on the new Jeep pick up truck allegedly given the green light. IF Jeep builds that truck and Ford doesn't answer, there will be a loud sucking sound created by loyal Ranger customers and businesses alike going to the new Jeep pick up truck.
  2. Does anyone know if Ford will offer a F-150 V-6 regular cab with a short box (5.5 or 6 foot box)? I thought Ford offered this configuration in previous years. Currently, I believe it is not available.
  3. I agree with you that the F-150 is too tall, particularly in the bed. In fact, the current F-250 looks better than the F-150 in that regard, with lower bed walls. If I were to get a full size truck, it would likely be the F-250. I just don't need such a big truck, as it would be a waste of space, capability, and money. I looked at the F-150, and even the F-250, but I still come back to the size, looks, cost and relatively good mileage of the current Ranger. I wish Ford would just update the current Ranger with EcoBoost engines, 6-speed transmissions, and a mild interior refreshening. The current Ranger exterior is just fine with me. If Ford doesn't redo the current Ranger, I believe that Ford should go ahead with the F-100 and have various Ranger trim levels. All it needs is to be 85-90% the size of the current F-150 and it would not canibalize the F-series sales. Come on Ford, don't just give this segment to Toyota and Nissan, as I think it would be a strategic mistake.
  4. Were they 3 Ranger 4-door supercabs? Thanks.
  5. I am considering buying a 2010 Ford Ranger Supercab. I was dismayed that Ford will not be offering the Supercab 2-door in 4x4 for 2010. I am also concerned about past consumer complaints about issues with ill-fitting, squeeky, and/or wind noise problems on past Ranger 4-door Supercabs. Does anyone know if these issues have been addressed recently? What are current Ranger 4-door Supercab consumers experiencing? Thanks for any feedback.
