  1. Oops, I stand corrected. I guess there is a 'gauge mode' included with the Track Apps. Here's driving impressions video (there are quite a few showing up on Youtube).
  2. I see that they corrected the 'Build & Price' site and now there's the GT Track Pack as an option. Does anyone know if the 2013 Mustang no longer has 'full instrumentation'? Are the oil pressure and voltmeter deleted for all Mustang models? Sometimes it seems like Ford will give us something we didn't ask for but, take away something we like. I prefer having gauges much more than a Gee whiz app that I'll seldom use, unless of course the small screen displays virtual gauges when the Track App isn't in use? I apologize in advance to anyone that thinks the Track App is the greatest thing since the invention of the wheel.
  3. Do you know why there's no GT Track Pack option available? Is it going to be late availability or is Ford having trouble gearing up to offer this package in the qualities that they predict the Mustang buyers are going to demand? I was on the fence about the package because it forces you to get the 3.73 gears but, I think that Torsen diff is a major contributing factor to the Boss' handling prowess. Ford did a good job with the 2013 freshening but, I think they should have left the HIDs on the options list. I think it gives the Mustang a less agressive look and doesn't it add more weight vs Halogen?
  4. When will the Job 2 order guide be out? The Job 2 changes seem to still be a secret for most people?
  5. What happened to this discussion? Doesn't anyone have some good information on this subject? What about Job 2 information? Are orders being placed now going to be vehicles built after the Job 2 start up? Shouldn't there be a new, updated order guide and brochure? Does anyone have links or information about any of this?
  6. Do you have any hard evidence of this 'Job 2' news or is this just a "I heard it from a guy that knows a guy..." thing? If so, any other Job 2 news?
  7. Hey BON members, I contacted Ford and expressed my opinion to them about their 2012 Mustang changes, especially the exterior color changes and the decontenting of the interior color if you don't want a Black interior (basically you get different color seats and color door inserts, everything else is Black). Their answer was mostly pointing out that I selected the wrong topic for my opinion expressing, so I thought I'd share with you their instructions on submitting your opinion on Ford products. This way if any of you do contact Ford with your opinion, you'll receive an answer to your question instead of instructions. 8. Besides a dictionary, you need a reality check. You actually think Ford put a color palette in front of groups of likely Mustang customers and they overwhelmingly said "I'd like to see that car in Lava Red and you need to dump that ugly Gray color!"? Really? Your reply was pretty offensive, especially the psychoanalysis. This is an enthusiast forum where person share ideas and opinions but, there's always people that think it's their job to go beyond disagreement into personal attacks. Just because you're safe behind your keyboard doesn't mean you have to type everything that comes into your mind. Let's try to keep this about the cars. I've been to many forums and have seen maybe two postings where Mustang enthusiasts have commented positively on the color change, I doubt that there's a huge silent majority. That's my opinion.
  9. Well, good for you 5 dot 0! While I'm not happy about Ford deleting my color choice, I don't consider it MY color. When a person purchases a vehicle, they usually want to spend THEIR money on the vehicle THEY want, that includes the color choice they want for that vehicle. Your ad-like defense of Ford's engineering choices are not what I'm talking about. I'm referring to the marketing decisions that are usually made well after the engineers have finished creating the world class vehicle. While you read my words, you clearly don't understand my point. There's engineering a vehicle and then there's the marketing of that product. Whether a vehicle is Red or Gray doesn't change how it's going to perform but I guarantee you that how a vehicle is marketed makes a difference. Obviously, it's not like Ford has suddenly decided to offer the Mustang in Bubble gum Pink but, in my opinion the 2012 color decisions are mostly bad marketing as there wasn't any demand for Lava Red and Sterling Gray was a popular color. These are what's known as 'the details' and don't appear on any spec sheet. Next time you get up on a soap box and denigrate someone's opinion at least understand what you're trying to challenge, you obviously don't.
  10. That doesn't make many of us feel any better. Who among us was wondering why Ford doesn't offer more shades of Red with the Mustang? I was planning on ordering a Sterling Gray 2012. Ford discontinued 2011 ordering before the 2012 ordering guide came out. I sent Ford an email and they told me the 2012 Mustang colors aren't finalized but, I think someone lied to me? It seems like lately if the Mustang team does something positive, they have to do a couple of negative things at the same time. I had the dealer search for a 2011 Sterling Gray GT equipped the way I want it and none exist in the USA, just as I thought, a factory order only car. I'm starting to think that with all the success Ford has had recently, they're losing touch with what customers want? I feel that they're getting arrogant and think that they know better what we want than we do? I know everyone has their unique tastes but for me, I don't really like Red exteriors or interiors so, adding another shade of Red while deleting my favorite color (that's offered) is like adding insult to injury. I can see replacing Sterling Gray with a similar color just to make the 2012's more distinguishable, a color like Silverstone or Bright Anthracite would work but, delete it period, not cool. Ford would have done better to work on the interior color selection IMHO. If you order something other than Black, more of the interior should be that color instead of Black dash, carpeting, headliner and paneling with the other color for the seats.
  11. I sent Ford an email about their color changes for the 2012 Mustang and here's their reply: Thank you for contacting Ford Motor Company on 11/18/2010 03:31:17 AM. We appreciate the time you have taken to write us. We are happy to hear you're interested in the 2012 Mustang GT, however, at this point, we have not finalized the available colors. the colors are still subject to change so it is possible that the Sterling Gray you are interested in may still become available. If you have any further questions about the 2012 Mustang, we would be happy to answer once we have the finalized information. You can reach the Marketing Program Headquarters by calling 1-800-334-4375, we are open M-F 9am-6pm EST. Thank you for contacting Ford Motor Company. Is there hope or are they snowing me? I'd advise all of you that are unhappy about the Sterling Gray to contact Ford and let them know about your displeasure. Maybe we can influence them to change their mind?
  12. Does anyone have a 2012 Mustang order guide to post?
  13. WTF? Where is the demand for another shade of Red coming from? I think Sterling Gray is a popular color and if they were going to replace it, they should do so with a similar color like Silverstone not some Dark Red color. Has anyone ever even wondered why Ford isn't offering the Mustang in Lava Red? If they want to make some color changes, start with the interior by replacing Saddle with a medium gray color like Quartz Gray or Granite. This is just great, first they introduce the Boss 302 and Laguna Seca in clown color schemes and now they're going to mess with the other Mustangs too! Who's in charge of these decisions, Chevrolet?
