In for New York state safety inspection and the are telling me there is a loose control arm. They want $450 to fix it and say it will need alignment afterward. I have 89K miles on it and never been off road, towed, or abused it any way. I will get more details when I pick it up. Has there been any issues with these vehicles and control arms? I have about 88k miles and the brakes are pulsing. Not many shops by me turn rotors anymore, I was planning on four new rotors and pads. Really never tow anything and not looking for high performance. Should I just get rotors and pads from a Ford dealer ? What's the difference between Motorcraft and Ford OEM ? I see dealers sell both versions. I have done motorcraft pads at about 45K on the original rotors and just scuffed up the rotors for a fresher surface but this time feel I should replace them. Any suggestions or recommendations greatly appreciated !!! Paul

Ford dealer replace pass front axle seal (4x4) where half shaft goes into diff housing 1 year ago due to oil leaking out. It is now wet again and the put dte in and said is oil from the new seal design and not diff fluid. Anyone know of TSB's or any info on this. I would also get an ocassional bang with seemed to come from front end when turning and in 4x4 on total snow covered roads, no dry pavement. My tires are less than 1 year old 8,000 miles and the say the diameters are 1 " of causing this, I asked if they checked pressure of tires and they said no. All advice appreciated.

My wife and I had the same dislike for the EB's with all the different colors and tall tan trim along the bottom. We went with a silver limited with charcoal black interior and it all blends nice. My wife really wanted green but the colors were just too busy.

2008 Limited and I need to mount a front plate bracket on it , the part a dealer sold me is 7L1Z-17A385-AA but they had no hardware or instructions, no other Expys were on the lot for me to check. Thanks for the replies.
