  1. I haul a large Lance camper that has a slide and pull a boat. I recently purchased a 2011...traded in my 6.0. I went with the 6.2. I would however suggest a dually; the difference in handling worth the extra cost. The 6.2 handles the load well.
  2. Got news today; going to repaint the roof again. Going to take the wheel to some type shop the restores/repairs those kind of things. In dealers defense, they do not have a body shop, they sent it "across the street" to whomever does their work for this kind of stuff. At this point they are going to try to remedy the situation. I wish they would have communicated with me in a more timely manner. Gets repaired next week. I continue to be impressed with this truck.
  3. Still no news....going to call the dealership tomorrow. They said that they would repaint the roof again. I have yet to get an answer on the scratch on the rear dual. I informed them that I was unhappy; they don't seem to care care that they have an unhappy customer who just paid 50 grand on a truck. We will see what happens tomorrow. Ao far not impressed with this dealership. The dealership that I usually purchase my new vehicle went belly up two years ago when the economic turndown started. I just may have to live with it. Will advise.
  4. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I took delivery of my new crew cab dually Lariat 6.2 10 days ago. Love the truck...however, when I got the truck home(50 miles on it) and did my insprection. I found a paint flaw on the roof of the truck. An approx. 2 mm crater( 2mm wide and 1 mm deep). I also had a scratch on the rear wheel(about 6 cm long and deep enough that my finger nail would get "caught" in it when rubbing across it). The dealership took the truck back and supposedly repainted the roof...looks like to me they tried to wet sand it and tough up with paint. Anyway the flaw is still there. I am concerned about a rust spot devoloping due to ice/snow building up and cracking the seal. Should I be? The wheel issue is still being "discussed". Opinions...let it go or continue to put up a fuss?
  5. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I know that lots of people who are considering purchasing a new Super Duty check this site out(just as I did). For those who have 2011, what are your likes and dislikes? This is my third super duty. I traded an 06 Lariat diesel for a 2011 Lariat gasser. Here are mine: 1) Motor and tranny seem strong and work well 2) Fuel miliage(good for a large truck) 3) Fit and finish 4) Dash lay-out 5) Outside mirrors...much better view and the mechical adjustments are super 6) Styling(like the new rear new fenders) 7) leather seats inserts 8) information center is cool and informative 9) Dual temp. controls 10) cooled seats 11) plentiful 12 volts outlets 12) improved rear trailer plug Dislikes: 1) rear sear configuration...I like the 06 better. Seats don't lay flat. I also liked the fold out lower floor shelf on the '06. 2) 40/20/40 front seats(would have perfered the center console but was overruled by wife...grandkids need a place to set up front) Not sure: rear view camera in rear view mirror. Overall: Very positive Your thoughts for the those considering purchasing a new Super Duty?
