  1. FMP enhanced coverage, basic dental { that doesnt cover a lot } and 2 10K life insurance policies used to cost zero. This year it costs 200 a month. Be real carefull if you go to one of the Met Life dental participants, I have had 2 occurrances where they wanted thousands of dollars in gum disease treatments for the family. We went to a non participating dentise and he could not find any of the conditions we were told we had. Not only that you have to make multiple office visits before you get to see a dentist. Typical Ford proceedure, record profits at the retirees expense.
  2. Wizard, what do I have to look forward too?
  3. The garage door openers are different in the Focus and Fusion. The Focus was a snap it worked the first time, The fusion is a different animal altogether.
  4. Baggs: I followed the directions in the manual about 10 times and still cant get the car to learn. As a matter of fact while trying to program the car the remote was unprogramed. Press buttons 1&3 in the car, then press the learn button on the unit, go back to the car and press the button you want programed and the garage door should move. Nothing happens. Back to the manual
  5. NSA: You have to have a dealer that will work with you and not try and gouge you. In my case , the Fusion cost 2k more then the Fusion and I lost 1k for the miles on the car we worked the numbers and everyone was happy. Dont bet all the dealers are willing to work with you.
  6. The 2012 Titanium HB went back to the deaer to be replaced with a 2012 Fusion SEL. The good points were gas milage, sound system and versitility. I found the My Touch to be confusing compounded with the redundent steering wheel controls. Never could get comfy with the protruding center stack limiting my knee room. The concept is great for techies but not for seniors. Mine will be the third one returnedto the dealer because of operator/technical incompatability. I like the Fusion, plenty of room lots of comfort. Only 2 negatives so far, first technically it is very similar to a 2011 Focus. Dont know why Ford wouldn't have put rain sensing wipers and a push button start on an SEL model? Second the built in garage door opener is difficult to program. MPG comparison 33 mpg for the Focus,28 mpg for the Fusion on the first tank.
  7. Actually the area of concern is where the climate control is located. In the new model the dash and console blend together where in the older model the dash and console were seperate and the space between them allowed for more knee room for horizontal leg movement.
  8. I picked up my Titanium this week and after a period of driving time found that there was a limited amount of leg and foot room.My 2002 Focus had more room and a a more comfortable drivers area. TheTitanium console protrudes into the drivers knee area and restricts any horizontal leg movement. also dead pedal area appears to high leaving little to no room for foot movement. In its current configuration it would be impossiblefor me to drive a stick shift in this car. I am not exactly small, being 6'2" and 240 I otherwise like the fit and location of everything interior wise ok. Just my observations.
  9. Based on what i am seeing here I will have a limited vehicle. My Titanium Ingot silver 5 door will have the Tuscany red and black interior. I will be takiing delivery next week.
  10. Transitman: wait until Ford starts denying you medical coverage and see how you like it. They have denyed my wife meds for her Alzhiemers because her brain hasnt deteriorated enough and the damage is irreversable. Now I am dealing with complications from cervical fusion and the alternate medications. causes deafness with prolonged treatment. Yeah Im off my meds and not by choice.
  11. If I cant get quick resolution on Ford denying my doctors orders by calling for "prior authorization" on the meds perscribed. Not only will I cancel my order for a loaded Titanium and forget about the 10 other cars I sell annually. Catalyst mail order pharmacey claims to ONLY following Ford policy.
  12. First of all the company still follows the HF II mantra "never complain, never explain" Second according to my dealer they are still having sporadic problems with MFT in the Edge. Lastly I cant believe that there is a computer software issue that cant be solved quickly with the state of the programs on the market, or did they buy the program from the same supplier that does Toyota? (HAHA)
  13. Thanks to everyone who posted info. I am in a similar situation, my current Focus has a buyer that wants the car ASAP and dont want to use the other car as a daily driver. Plus I need to schedule a 2000 mile road trip due to a family problem. Hopefully the engineers have improved thier past process of 10% planning and 90% implimentation to correct problems on the fly. Been there done that.
  14. I have a 5 door Titanium in Ingot silver with the Tuscany red and black interior. The order has been in since the bank has been open and now the dealer is guessing at best another 6 to 8 weeks ,what a bunch of crap. Any truth that Titaniums are not being built for quality concerns?
  15. I talked to the insurance regulators in Florida friday only to find out that the states have no power when it coms to self funded (Ford) insurance programs, at this point it appears they above the law and make thier own rules. I talked to a supervisor at Catalyst and was told that since they rejected my claim for the specific drugs based on an MMSE score the rejection applied to ALL medications in that drug family. In short it doesnt matter what the doctor perscribes Catalyst will automatically reject the claim.
