  1. A friend called to tell me that he heard that there is a recall on the 2011/12 mustangs. He did not catch what it was though. Any truth to this and what is being recalled?
  2. I did not know they had adapters, I will look into that.
  3. im upgrading the stock speakers to a much better quality one but my question is, how can I find out which lead is positive and which is negitive? Anyone have a wiring diagram to determine this? I am replacing the front door 5x7s and rear deck lid 5x7s and leaving the factory 8" subs for now. I'd love to know the colors on the subs as well for future reference. Thanks Joe
  4. When I brought it to the dealers atention, they said that the boot was different from a standard interior and the newknob is not a screw off style, the entire shift arm had to be replaced. Now the standard one screws off so I find it hard to believe the aluminium one does not. They want to take my car into the shop, yank the center concule out and change the boot with the entire sifter. I do not want this work done on the car for a stupid shift knob. I do not want the car in the shop to be torn apart for this. Before I have the car pulled apart for this I'll install a MGW or something. I do not see the 12 being different from the 11 so if your screwed on and off I would assume this one does as well. Once they get the new shifter in I want them to show it to me before the car is taken in. I hate to be a PITA for the dealer but I dont want my new car apart for no reason.
  5. I have a question about the shift knob that comes in the 401A package. I know the standard knob is the silver faced and leather wrapped knob but with the 401A package you get the aluminium ball. Well my car arrived with the standard knob on the 401A package and when I brought it to my dealers attention they are telling me the correct knob is not just simply a screw on/off knob. I'm being told the entire shift lever has to be changed. Is this true? The boot is correct but the knob is wrong like someone switched it during shipping. Does the entire shifter have to be changed?
  6. I do not at all hold my dealer responsible for the super extenended wait but they could have been on top of the order a bit better. I do not hold ford responsible for the train mishap that ruined my first car in shipping but they too could have been a bit more helpful. My decision will be the craftsmanship of my new mustang and if it lives up to what I am told it will then I will continue to be a Ford customer!
  7. Got my Bassani axle back, Stainless Works long tube headers, and X-pipe with hi-flo cats, Sportline springs, UPR double adjustable UCA, UMI LCA's, adjustable panhard bar, and relocation brackets on soon. I installed my K&N drop in filter, JLT oil catch can and hood struts already. Picked her up with 4.5 miles and now she has 61. Cant wait to hit 500, give him an oil change and see how papa pulls!!! 11. Well 5:30pm last night the dealer called and said the eagle has landed. I am going to pick her up in an hour!! WOOO FREAKING HOOO almost 6 months to date from ordering it to getting it and one wrecked car during shipping. It has been a long winter/spring but in the end I am sure it will be worth it!!!!
  12. I got this yesterday. My question is if the car is only an hour away how does it take 4 days to arrive from when shipped via truck? Can the truck location be tracked like the train can?
  13. update request: VIN #1ZVBP8CF4C5229286 Thanks, Joe
  14. Called Allied System this morning and they said the car is scheduled for delivery today. We shall see, I'll believe it when I see it
  15. The shipping yard told me that once they have a full truck to the dealers area which is guess is a specific route the car will be sent out.. Hope it is the begining of the week but I guess we shall see.
