  1. UPDATE: Service tech replaced radio....5 days later - not much difference. I continue to have the issue on my favorite channels, though one channel seems a bit better. More testing will occur.
  2. Folks After digging around some more I have found that this is an issue with the some radios - here is a link to the Ford TSB 10-13-3. http://way2evil.com/tsb/tsb10-13-03.pdf I will update this after I bring my car in to be serviced as well as after to see if this resolved the issue. I have heard it may not Thx
  3. Thank you for clarifying that I do NOT have HD radio, (as I originally thought). It happens more on the 1 radio station (WCTK Providence, RI) that I listen to the most - like every song and multiple times during that song. Some other channels, it is much less, but I have heard it. Does anyone know where you can find out how radio stations transmit and what techniques they use? I have read on some forums that it may be dependent on the radio signal from the station and if they do transmit HD...but since I do not have HD radio, I don't think that can be it. Thanks again. I will bring it up to my dealer when I get my 1st oil change next monty but i was hoping to have some better data.
  4. This would make sense if the radio I have is HD. I don't think it is - I got the Moon & Tune Package for SEL. But it does pick up some text from the radio stations on what artist and what song. Since I do not think I have the HD radio, any other thoughts?
  5. Folks - i need some help here. I just purchased a 2011 Ford Fusion SEL (2000miles) with Dolby DAEP 5.1 Surround Sound technology and Sony DSP processing, 390 watts of power, and 12 high-quality premium speakers, including two sub woofers. I am VERY disappointed in the quality of the music in FM radio mode. This started occurring day 1 and continues to this day. When the audio system is on the AM/FM mode, the sound quality changes; It will go from sounding normal, to sounding like the bass is being turned up with no treble, and then all treble and no bass, back to normal. This only happens with the AM/FM setting. Using satellite, CD, or MP3 through SYNC sounds perfectly fine, so it doesn't appear to be the speakers. I have turned off the automatic speed-sound mechanism so I don't think it is that. Does anybody have any idea what could be causing this? Thanks
