Thanks for the link. Does this mean the homelink on the Limited is installed in the sun visor and not the mirror? I thought I saw an image where it was on the mirror but maybe I am thinking of one of the other vehicles I looked at before deciding on the Explorer.

Picked up my ordered XLT on Feb. 23rd and absolutely love it. When ordering I tried to get the homelink added on the XLT and the dealer said it was only available on the Limited, so now I have to add it on. I am quite handy and can do most anything myself so here are a few ideas I am thinking of. 1. Try to order the exact mirror that is put in the Limited. I figure that this would be a direct swap and require liitle to no wiring. I have been unable to find the part number. If someone with a limited can post it I would appreciate it. (It is stamped into the back of the mirror). 2. Order a Gentex aftermarket mirror. This may be quite easy to replace but I doubt the wiring harness would be the same and therefore would require a bit of rewiring. 3. Find a used visor mount or overhead mount type homelink transmitter. Again this would require a bit of wiring as well as custom installing the unit. Any thought and/or suggestions.
