Has anyone tried painting the coil covers body color without high temp paint? I can find spray can body color (U6), but not in high temp. Just wondering if that would work.

There is a wheel shop about 45 min. from me that does the local MBZ wheels for the dealer. Think I will drive over and at least have them give me a price. Thanks for your input...

I have been a little afraid of aftermarket wheels, thinking OEM were better.....

My 2012 GT came with the 18" polished wheels. I would like them chromed and have read about exchange chrome wheels. My question is will chroming wheels like mine with a lot of radius curves last very long ? I like the wheels but I can already see up keep on polising will be a pain. Chrome looks better and will be easier to clean. Anyone try chroming these wheels yet ? Thanks...

Yes, although the Borla plant has moved to TN, the R&D and sales remain here in Oxnard. My dealer works with them on new car models so was able to have my installation done by them.

After almost 6 months of waiting, my candy apple red metallic GT arrived. Great car ! HUGE improvement over the last new one I bought, 1994 Cobra. Only one complaint, a small paint blemish on the left fender, spot looks more frosted, than metalic. The folks at Borla installed a cat back Attack system, and next week I am adding 3M clear bra on the front bumper and leading edges. Very happy with the way the car drives and handles, now just have to get up to speed on all the NAV and electronic dodahs ! Thanks to all here who offered information during the (painful) ordering process. Oh yes, the $1500 rebate did not hurt either ![/font]

After almost 6 months of waiting, my 2012 GT arrived ! Metallic candy apple red. My dealer worked a deal with the Borla R&D guys in Oxnard to install a cat back system for me. As they did not have the S-Type on hand, went with the Attack. At first thought it was going to be a bit much but after a few outings I think it's just fine. Not loud at all in cruise, but at about 3,000 RPM it does come alive. Except for a small paint blemish on the left fender I am very happy with the car. BIG difference from the last new one I had, 1994 Cobra. That only made 245 HP, plus this car is much refined. It will however ,take me a while to learn all the electronic dodahs !

Considering the S-type axle backs for my 2012 GT. Anyone running them and did you notice any change other then he sound ? Thanks.
