  1. Didn't know there were cubby holes there. That's nifty. I don't think I'll be satisfied that I know enough about the Focus until I drag a dog crate down to the dealership and stick it in the back of one :P I don't think the Focus is going to accommodate my dog well enough though.
  2. Haha I like how he mentions that the Cruze and Corolla don't offer a flat load floor in their hatchback... wait.... what hatchback? Thanks for the link though!
  3. I'm starting to think that when I walk into a dealership, people say, "Give him to the new guy, he's not actually going to buy anything." The three times I've been to dealers (two Ford, one Mazda), I had either no help or little help. The only time I got good help was when I revisited the Mazda dealership and talked to the internet sales guy with whom I had corresponded online. I actually went straight from the Ford dealership to the Mazda dealership (they are in the same town, 45 minutes from me), because I was so disappointed in the space in the back of the Focus. Hopefully the dealership near me that is getting the Titanium with handling package gets it in soon, so I can continue my indecision
  4. Gotcha. The salesman I dealt with obviously had NO IDEA you could do this.
  5. The seat cushion can be moved? How does that work? As far as numb, just felt like it was a little slow to respond, didn't really have a GOOD chance to drive it around, and I'm not sure that would have helped as it's a SE and I was interested in the Titanium. I would like to get in a Titanium and give it another chance. I was just disappointed by the lack of room between the rear seats and the liftgate.
  6. Well I have to say the Focus wasn't what I thought it would be. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure it's probably a great car, but I was disappointed. It felt a bit numb driving it, not what I expected. I didn't drive it for very long though. Honestly, this is what killed it for me, more than anything (NOT MY PICTURE): I'm getting a hatchback for the space... and the lack of a flat and even floor kinda kills it for me. Plus the space behind the rear seats was smaller than I expected compared to the Mazda3. Hope you guys enjoy your Foci, unfortunately the car wasn't quite what I expected and I don't think I'll be getting one. Kinda a bummer, I was REALLY sold on it until I actually saw it and test drove it.
  7. Was at the dealership today. 4/4 SE Sedans had the grill shutters. 0/2 SE Hatchbacks had them. I forgot to check the one in the showroom.
  8. Yes, they are. Right as I posted that question here, someone responded on another forum with this link: http://blogs.insideline.com/straightline/2011/02/2012-ford-focus-titanium-suspension-walkaround.html The tires are the very last pic though.
  9. Anyone know exactly what kind of tires come with the THP?
  10. I see. I was going through some build and price site and saw a "metallic paint surcharge", and it's stuck with me since. Your explanation makes more sense. Obviously whatever site I was using was very technical.
  11. Maybe I should order now to get in on the action :D Random question. Why does Kona Blue Metallic not receive a $395 upcharge for "metallic" paint? Is it not metallic?
  12. Silly question time. Does this mean it arrives at the dealer on 4/25, or it leaves the factory on 4/25?
  13. That is the impression I am getting. The grill shutters result in a marginal MPG increase, or possibly an increase that cannot be claimed as part of the EPA numbers? Maybe the upgrades in the SFE package are included in MPG numbers because they are permanent, but the grill shutters only work part time, so they can't be counted towards MPG?
  14. The Mazda3 is in the exact same segment though... it is definitely one of the Focus's strongest competitors.I wouldn't care if the Focus headlights weren't adaptive, but good Xenon headlights make an enormous difference when driving.
