    Pioneer you seem to know a lot about the process and locations. Do you know what the difference is between having an F150 being built in Kansas City vs. Dearborn? I thought that I had read in one of the forums that long beds were built at KC but I have a short bed that is being built there (hopefully) 1FTFw1ET2Bkd44499.

    Thanks for the quick answer Ice.....hopefully it will actually make it to production this time! I am worried because it has been scheduled three times and is Red Candy. This is the first time with a "locked in" comment though.

    This has been an awesome thread with great information. Can someone please tell me if a retail order has a scheduled date and a comment of "locked in" is that the last step before production?

    Ordered mine March 3rd and have had three build dates that have come and gone. Now I have to worry if there is any paint left...reading the forum is great to find helpful information but can also stress you out because you can see how long people are having to wait.

    I have yet to get someone at Ford to confirm whether they have run out of paint yet and have stopped producing trucks in the affected colors. Hopefully they we give those that have not had their order filled yet the opportunity to pick a different color rather than wait another couple of months!

    I ordered the Red Candy on March 4th. It was scheduled to be built on March 28 but there was a delay and is scheduled now for April 25th with ETA of May 9....I am not holding my breath though.

    Sounds like a nice truck but have patience because you will be waiting.... The truck that I ordered is similar...lux package, upgraded sony, 20", step but I have max tow and Ecoboost. What color did you order?

    Believe me that I have already been thinking about that! I had asked him to double check and he said that it was standard on my vehicle so I need to stop worrying about it....

    So if I am reading this right one can ask for the incentives that were in place at the time of ordering...assuming that they are protected? I will definately discuss this with my dealer! Thanks for the info.

    So what is the status of your order? It looks like I ordered around the same time and I had a build date of March 29 but now have an estimated delivery date of May 9th. I ordered a FX4 EB from San Diego.

    Does anyone know why or has had the same experience of having a VIN# and according to the dealer was built on March 9th but no window sticker will pop up in the system? I have notice a lot of other have had access to their sticker prior to build and even though mine is built...no sticker.

    That could explain why I saw the 36 gallon tank on 3 different 4x4's on the dealers lot and none of the trucks were EB. Thanks for the info.

    Thanks but dont you think that my salesperson should know that? (retorical question) I saw the 36 on an FX4 on the lot but it was the 5.0 not the EB.

    That is what I thought but my dealer assured me that standard was the 36 gallon...which is what I specified....kind of a bummer.

    I am looking for clairification on the size (gallons) of the "standard fuel tank" on the 2011 F150 FX4 S-Crew. My dealer has said the the standard for the 4x4 is 36 gallons but he has proven to be a little off on his details sometimes. Thanks!

    New to this group. There is a lot of great information! I am impatiently waiting for my F150 FX4 S-Crew which was supposed to be delivered week of April 18 but now is listed for May 9th. This is the first vehicle that I have ever ordered and did not realize how difficult it would be to wait 3 months!
