I ordered My fusion SEL on february 21st and I'm still waiting. It was supposed to be built May 2nd and I called Ford Customer Service about a week ago and it is in transit. Delivery is scheduled for May 23rd, but my dealer said it could be early or late, that it just an estimate. I'm crossing my fingers it is here on Friday so I can have it for the weekend, but not really counting on it. My parents ordered an Edge Limited the week after me and had it by April 16th, so it just depends on the plant I guess. I heard mine might have been delayed because of some parts being backordered (someone said V-6 engines, but I'm not sure on that...I ordered it with just about every option available so it could be many things) and they also had a plant shut down for retooling for the 2012 models the first week of April. At least that's what I've read on the forum. I lucked out that I didn't order black or red because I had heard they had some problems getting the pigment for those colors because of Japan's earthquake. As for this year's model, you can't order any more 2011 Fusions...I was told I barely got mine because they weren't taking any more orders and I'm not sure when you can start ordering the 2012. I know it's not listed on the web yet. I'm guessing you'd be looking at July or August before you could get a 2012, but I'm only speculating based on things I've heard in the past. Hope this helps some! Maybe someone can jump in and give you better info on the 2012's.

You are so helpful! I called an it is in transit. I know it still may be until the 23rd coming on rail, but it gets me even more excited to know it is at least on it's way! I might have to ask the dealer for the rail company info, but I was in there this morning asking about it and he didn't mention having that info. I might wait a few days to bother him again . Thanks for your reply! I had actually read it earlier and forgot to respond....didn't want you to think I didn't appreciate your help . I ordered the White platinum tri-coat and I now have a window sticker. Now I'm trying to figure out it shows a ship date? I see a bunch of #'s on the bottom righg. It was scheduled to be built May 2nd, but I'm thinking maybe it was done April 28th. There are a bunch of letters & numbers and then it says 000514 04 28 11. On the top left it shows HRM-000514WI and below that it says 9-Normal, NA, 000514, BD28, 000010813. Any ideas of any of that includes a ship date? I'd love to get it early. It's coming rail from Mexico.

I ordered my 2011 Ford Fusion SEL on February 21st and was told it would be 6-8 wks. Well, they didn't even pull the order until a couple weeks ago and now it's scheduled to be built May 2nd and delivery is set for May 23rd. Any ideas on what the hold up would have been? My dealer really didn't seem to know, though he mentioned something about running out of parts. I'm not sure if that's it or something else. I was just curious if anyone knows why they are so delayed and also wondering if there's any chance I'd get a 2012 now instead since they retooled the line the beginning of April? He hasn't mentioned anything about that, but it would definitely make it worth the wait if it was .

I am with you on the rebates and feeling frustrated. I ordered a Ford Fusion on Feb 21st and was told it would take 6-8 wks. I called Ford and ordered a brochure on a tip and got the $750 special offer, but it expired April 5th. I signed up online for some brochures, etc and got a 2nd one good until May 2nd. Well, my car is taking much longer than expected and isn't even being built until May 2nd and delivery is scheduled for May 23rd. I called Ford's customer service requesting another one since that was part of the reason I ordered the car I did with all the extra options. She said they will send me another brochure, but it's unlikely I'll get another coupon because they are often limited to 1 or 2 offers per household. She said she had no control of it and couldn't manually mail me one. Come on Ford...we are loyal Ford customers and I talked my mom & dad into ordering a new Edge & my sister-in-law is also in the process of getting a new Ford...Both had planned to go Chevy. I think I deserve this rebate, especially since it is taking so much longer than I was told. (nothing against my dealership...they are awesome and that is who I feel my loyalty is too at this point).
