  1. Ford really needs something smaller than the F-150. The local dealer loaned me a 3.5 SuperCrew over the weekend to help convince me to buy it. 14 MPG on the freeway? Really? I'll admit it's a 4WD with 3.73s, but that's pitiful, and it's sure not close to the 19 MPG on the sticker. This thing's massive. I don't need a limo. All I want is an extended cab that can haul sheetrock or plywood. The Gen 1 Tundra size is just fine.
  2. Yep. I'm getting really tired of the shades of gray. With few exceptions (Red Candy, Blue Flame) most truck color choices (not just Ford) just range from white through increasingly darker shades of gray to black. Recently, I was on a lot when a carrier arrived fully loaded with white trucks. A sales person thought no one was within earshot, and it was really funny to hear him go off about another load of white trucks to move.
  3. I agree that HIDs make a big difference, especially Bi-Xenon. I'd pay the extra to have them as an option or as part of a package.
  4. I too, would like a truck smaller than the F-150, but the Tacomas and Frontiers can't fit a sheet of plywood between the wheel house. I recently sold a T100 4WD work truck that I kept around specifically because it was useful, yet would still fit in a parking space even with a box as large as the F-150. Yes, it was underpowered, and yes it had lousy brakes, but it fit, and advancing technology has cured a lot of ills. The sad thing is that today's Tacoma is very nearly dimensionally identical to the old T100, yet is less useful as a truck. And I was so looking forward to a Ranger replacement in the US...
