To confirm my concerns with what happened to Brad at Martinsville.....please read this article....

Mine locks with the doors so yes that problem is fixed.
Great to hear that....and I assume that's not an option package!

I recall a few years ago when there were a series of F150 tailgate thefts in my neighborhood ! I was wondering if it is still easy to steal F150 tailgates or did Ford resolve the problem?
-
I watched NASCAR Hub last night and they replayed the incident. It was thrown and bounced 3-4 ft off the pavement. The Blueish can rolled back and Brad turned around and drove over it with his left front tire while fluid/foam came out. Water or beer....it's not right!

After Brad won the race at Martinsville, I noticed a Bud beer can possibly thrown on the track! It reminded me of the idiots that threw cans at Joey Logano after Kenseth crashed him a few years ago. None of the commentators mentioned it when Brad drove over the blue can after the victory! Did anyone notice it? Beer cans on racetracks are dangerous and violent fans should be held responsible!

Typically, I 100% agree, and wouldn't recommend using the iOLM either, but it's a C-Max, so my thoughts differ on it than a standard non-hybrid. That being said, I have to admit that I don't use the iOLM On my wife's C-Max either. Her drive cycle puts her at about 7k miles as the desired interval, apparently, because I usually forget to reset it at 5000 when I do the service. This gets me a call, whenever, wherever it happens.
As for rotations, I usually do 10k (every second oil change for me) on it anyway. The hard ass low rolling resistance tires wear like iron. It's just under 60k and we just replaced the set because she ruined one, had enough tread difference that I wasn't comfortable, and the replacement tires were very reasonable with all the benefits added in.
Brake checks are important, but with regenerative I'm not sure we will EVER put brakes on this damn thing as long as the rotors don't rot apart.
Again, vastly different from our non-hybrid vehicles. 5k miles on my beater Focus because I do roll quite a few miles (about 3 months). Everything else 3k or time based oil changes because I don't put enough miles on. Rotations every oil change for the Focus, every other for the 3k/time based vehicles.
What do you set your tire pressure at? I'm set by the dealer recommended at 38 PSI!

Shop supplies are a normal charge. It does include cleaner such as brake cleaner to spray off any oil residue. However, I don’t complain about it too much. For $47.65 I suppose you got the works package that rotates the tires as well. Go to a quick lube and just an oil change without rotation will be more than that. Add a rotate and it’s over $60 for same service.
It's was $50 and didn't include the tire rotation. It's called Quik Lane here in Wisconsin! Just hybrid oil and filter.....any rotation or maintenance check is extra! I'm definitely going to extend the intervals longer than 5000 miles, since I'm not pulling my trailers or anything other than normal driving! It's a great car!!

I've been getting my Cmax Oil changes completed at the dealer and really didn't notice the 'shop 'supplies' charge for $2.10! I was told the breakdown of charges were $5.33 for oil filter (FL-910S) ...$25.20 for the 0W20 oil ....labor $15.02....and the $2.10 for 'shop supplies' (towels or rags to wipe the installers hands! I never heard of that one before!
I also noticed how I've been changing my oil every 4000-5000 miles. I decided to read more about the required interval on changing Cmax Hybrid oil. Surprised to discover I can have my oil changed every 7500-10000 miles under normal driving conditions!

Fake news. The only Rangers being parked are finished ones released for shipping or normal end of line repair type stuff.
Let me guess, a salesman told you that?
It came from a retiree who was called back to help with the launch team! He mentioned it to another guy.....who told another guy....etc...! Well, at least I went to the source....and thanks for the information! Meow!!!

Oh, yeah, I know it's from the Matamoros strike caused by the new Mexican President raising the minimum wage, which then triggered the ~3-week-long strike by workers making wages that were initially set as a % above the old minimum. I would also assume that the plant supplying the wheels will be struggling to provide 8000 wheel over and above their planned run rate.
Knowing why it happened doesn't tamp down much of the frustration with seeing the car just sitting there, though.
So, maybe this strike is affecting the Ranger steering wheels....since I'm told they are parking every vehicle?
-
Is it true that they are currently parking Rangers for lack of various parts....primarily a shortage of steering wheels?

I can't access the Ford Performance site. It asks me to sign up.....even though I'm already signed in and able to access the other sites!

Awesome move with the help of Blaney! Brad's penalty was a disappointment. I was hoping for an interview with Kyle Busch after his "contact" with Johnson!
Associated Press:
"Tell him I don't want to hear it. Tell him to use his eyeballs. That's twice in two races he's done the same thing," Busch said, using expletives to note that Johnson also caused a 16-car accident Sunday.
-
I wonder what everyone thinks about Johnson winning the clash that only 3 cars survived the damage! According to Johnson, he said: "I'm not sure what caused Menard's car to WOBBLE...... " I have a good idea who caused the wreck...along with Darrel Waltrip.....however, I noticed Jeffrey Gordon (Rick's adopted son) repeating that Menard clearly came down which collected the Johnson and created the crash!

Yeah - very poor sportsmanship from Tokyo Joe Gibbs's boys Truex and Busch - I was taught when you get spanked fair and square you congratulate the winner and don't make lame excuses.
Apparently it is game-on between Ford and Toyota - I have considered Toyota - not Chevy to be Ford's biggest corporate rival now for 10 years!
I'm just reflecting on a persistent issue about Martin Truex that bothers me somewhat. I watched the replay of the Homestead race and the pre race interviews with the various drivers. When they interviewed Truex, he clearly stated the #22 was his target. This was weeks after his childish threats when Joey out-raced him to the finish at Martinsville and his infamous thumbs down and bellowing he's going to make sure Logano doesn't win the championship! Adding to all his negative attacks, I noticed during the actual race when there were about 60 laps remaining.....Joey and Truex were racing almost evenly on the backstretch, when Truex suddenly moves up and into Joey's left rear quarter panel (a common Kyle Busch tactic). Joey came on the radio telling his guys he was hit and to check for serious damage. At that point they replayed the hit ,which obviously appeared as deliberate and even Dale Jr commented by saying he "didn't understand" that move!
Okay....the season is over and us Ford guys are happy. I'm still pondering why did Truex carry such animosity against Joey......claiming he's the target.....he will make sure Joey doesn't win.....the late hit on the back stretch.....and finally refusing to congratulate Joey after the race! It must be deeply personal....since the Martinsville race still left him with plenty of points to make the finals. I hope he moves on from this! It's not healthy!
Sorry, I'm just reflecting....

Yes you did! I didn't hear Truex nor Busch congratulate Joey!

How about this? 5 laps to go Truex in the lead, Lagano 2nd, Busch 3rd, and Harvick 4th. Lagano hits Truex going for the lead and takes both of them out. Busch runs over debris and gets a flat and hits the wall. Harvick wins!
Dude, you did get the prediction correct about Busch "hits the wall!" Unfortunately , it was during Saturday practice!

We haven't seen final practice yet. That team is pretty good at tweaking the car during the race, too. I do agree that losing Childers for this race is not a good thing.
More bad news...Denny Hamlin gave Kyle Busch the #1 Pit to help gain advantage in the race!!! I'd put my hopes on Logano as a potential to replace Harvick 's struggling team...but Joey/Penske isn't anywhere near as strong as those 2 Toyotas!!! Its going to take either an accident or engine failure to stop them!! Bummer!
-
The Harvick team appears to have a big challenge for Sunday's race....especially after the Toyota finalists are running up front, strong and happy. Harvick could use his crew chief, as well as a better performing car this Sunday ! The odds look like another Toyota Championship...! I hope I'm wrong!

FYI...just talked to Kindra in sales and she will keep an eye on its availability. She said check back in a couple weeks and should have more information on the timing. I like the 1/24th scale....nice size!
