  1. Wow thanks for the info...looks like Geico covers it for free (if you have comp)
  2. Unfortunately, (and to my frustration ) I've taken two small rocks to my windshield over the past week. Each time it's caused a small divot in the windshield. Does anyone have any advice or recommendations on how to fix them? I'm not sure if I need to go to a glass repair place or if it's something I could fix myself. The divots themselves are very small, but you can see them when pointed out.
  3. My 13 mile commute to work is about 50% city and 50% highway. Other than that my regular driving is probably 80% city and 20% highway. My average has consistently been 21 MPG for the past 3 fill ups. (My signature has a long trip in there so the average is a little higher, I got around 27-28 on that trip btw) Overall, I'm a little disappointed with the MPG but it's not a deal breaker.
  4. Had something interesting happen to me the other day.... My fuel gauge went yellow around 15 MTE and alerted me, seems to be pretty standard. But driving home the miles were dropping pretty quick until I was at 0 MTE. The gauge never went red or chimed. I continued to drive a few miles to a gas station with it saying 0 MTE and the gauge still reporting yellow. Definitely seems like something is weird with the software and the MTE it reports...anyone else ever have this happen?
  5. oops, read too fast. Yeah I'm about a thousand more I guess mileage may vary
  6. Wow, pretty different experience than me and I'm in warmer temps (Georgia). How many miles on your car?
  7. I just had my first oil change (free) at Ford. I was at 3800 miles / 3 months of ownership. I asked what type and it was a partial synthetic or something to that effect. He said he would recommend every 5000 but I would probably be fine for a little after that. Switching to full synthetic would cost a little more but I would be good for 10,000. Does anyone have an opinion or recommendation on what would be better?
  8. I agree it would be concerning to have them mess with it but at the same time...it isn't perfect. You paid the same amount of money as someone else that has it aligned perfectly. My door chrome trim was misaligned and I had them fix it at the first oil change. It took all day and they gave me a rental. But they completely agreed and said it's not perfect so they'll fix it. So far nothing negative with the door has happened as a result of the fix....(fingers crossed). I realize this is probably a much easier fix than the dash but...just my .02.
  9. I also brought up (during 1st service) how my Fuel Gauge drops quickly after filling and how I can't get more than 12.5-13 gallons when I fill up from almost E (as reported by the car). They didn't have an answer and are escalating it to Ford Engineering. I'll post back what they say too. They hasn't heard of this before. But a 2013 escape owner who had the car for a month was in there complaining of the same thing.
  10. Finally had my car in for her first service. They gladly fixed a door alignment issue I had noticed But I brought up the lackluster fuel economy and basically told me the EPA tests under perfect conditions and that my engine isn't completely broken in yet (3800 miles). I'll give them the benefit of the doubt for now.... 11. Nope, looks perfectly clear to me. I'll upload a picture tonight.
  12. Had something really weird happen a few days ago... I was on a trip to a neighboring state and had to fill up. Every time I started to begin fueling the pump clicked off like it was already full. I tried the neighboring pump at the same station. Same thing. I think went a few miles down the road to a different station. Same dang thing. I was forced to barely pull the trigger to get fuel in my tank so I could get home. I refilled again yesterday at my home fuel station and it worked completely fine. Any clue what that was about??
  13. I have the Triple A film on my fusion, fit was perfect. Most of the time I completely forget it's there. I also don't notice very many fingerprints (maybe a few if the screen is off and there is direct sunlight). And that's saying a lot because fingerprints bother me a lot on my iPhone.
  14. Completely agree, i've noticed the same thing.
  15. Thanks for the link. I'm pretty much right in line with what CR is getting....22MPG combined.
  16. Thanks for the feedback. I'm making a list for when I take it in at 5000 and have them check everything.
  17. I'm just over 3000 miles and I think I'm starting to notice something with how my 2.0L is shifting.... When my car is shifting out of low gears I really feel the car lurch, but it's about the same amount I felt on my old 2002 Nissan Xterra. So I'm not sure if it's a normal thing I should be feeling or if shifting should be super smooth to the point where I don't feel anything. I'm sure I'm just overreacting....but anyone have a thought?
  18. Looks very executive...good luck!
  19. They are cool, but not sure I would be able to justify 200 bucks for them...
  20. Agreed, trying to use navigation with MFT voice commands is a nightmare. I even say give me directions home and it doesn't work...
  21. I think my Titanium wasn't effected by the headlamp issue (recall was before it was made), but looking at my headlamps they seem "foggy". Was this the original issue or is anyone else's like that?
  22. I logged into Syncmyride and clicked the sync updates tab at the top. Then the first block message is an 'important message' saying there is an update, and a link to update now. Can't miss it. Mine: DA5T-14D546-AF DA5T-14F496-AF DA5T-14F497-AF DA5T-14F657-AG But again, can't even order the A4 SD card...ughhh
  23. Hmm, I ask because I had tried to run the Status Checker tool a month or two ago and it didn't work at all. Just didn't leave me very confident in the update process. Sync VersionGen2 - V3.2.2 EDIT: Looks like I can't even order an SD Card...keep getting this error: Error processing tax. Please verify address information and try again.
  24. I just went to syncmyride.com and it had a message saying a new software update was ready and I can click here to order a new nav card. Is this install pretty easy (once I get a new nav card) or does everyone recommend I just have the dealer do it?
  25. As previously mentioned, it does have to be on. But something I noticed is once I had it on it wouldn't really do much and then I dug into some of the settings on the left side and there are adjustments you can make to the lane keeping system to turn the sensitivity up. Mine was set to "low" (or something like that) and I turned it up to "medium", there was also a "high". I dont think those are any of the right terms that our car uses but you should be able to find it in the settings and make the adjustment.
