  1. After a long period with no Ford in the driveway - on this Thursday - my 18yr old daughter gets her new Escape Titanium. I'm impressed that while she really could have picked anything from anyone - after our test drives and looking around, she wanted this. As a shareholder, I'm pleased to see that she thinks its cool. Loaded...even self park - cause she needs it. Go Ford. PS: It will be parking beside two Jeep Wrangler Unlimited and a TT - but she's claiming garage space.
  2. Wondering about the My Ford Touch with Nav option in the Titanium. It still says Sony....but is it the highest end unit you can put in the Escape. How many speakers and wattage? It's just that the Build it Now website from Ford makes it hard to know which is the best stereo you can get. I don't care about NAV, but is the wattage the same>
  3. CASE CLOSED I will take that thought and thank you. Just would love to know why it is everyone at Ford told me it was 72 months and then their Customer Service Mgr agrees and then also tells me it has nothing to do with Ford. If its 60 it's 60. Thanks for bring this up. You're the first one.

  5. If you call customer service, like I did four times, they ALL tell me it's 72 months for the Escape but NOT the Escape model S. In emails, on Tape and verbally they all say it. But how odd is it NOT to be able to get it? But, the dealer says they can't give it to me as Ford Credit does not give it to THEM. So they have it on their homepage and in their legal section and they tell me about it. But - you can't get it!
  6. Deanh. I linked the entire ad. See the picture. It's not some fly by night offer. It's on Fords homepage at www.ford.ca
  7. What would you guys do here? Saw an offer for 72 months at 0% on the Escape (which expires on the 30th). So, we went to the dealership Friday, tried to buy a 2013 Escape SEL with that financing offer, and dealer said "can only do 60 months". What? It's 72 months! Called Ford Customer Service (twice) while the sale person listened in and I recorded the call (which they knew) Customer service said "Yes it is correct as long as it is not the S model, so talk to the dealer". (They said it like I was stupid for even calling to confirm because "it is right there in black and white". Dealer says that they cannot help - and that their computer with Ford Credit does not have the option for 72 months. Customer Service Mgr said call Ford Credit and that they sold the car to the dealer, so it's not Ford's issue. They literally said "not our issue." I linked the Ford offer to this message, which is on their homepage here in Canada, as well as the Escape homepage and the Incentives home page. http://www.ford.ca/incentives/ Legal stuff is on bottom of page and #66 backs it up. Don't believe me. Call Ford Customer Service at Ford of Canada Relationship Centre 1-800-565-3673 Also, I posted a more detailed description in Open Letters to Management.
  8. Guys, I'm a great Ford supporter and shareholder, so let me tell you about this issue which I hope you can help solve. I've left a message for Dianne Craig's office so her people can get on it. I'll tell you why. The offer expires tomorrow, and I feel we're being purposely slowed down - which is not fair. My 18yr old daughter decided to buy a 2013 Ford Escape SEL and we went to the dealership because I had confirmed with Ford Customer Service before going down there that their website offer at http://www.ford.ca/incentives/ was in fact true. It was for 72 months at 0%. She can easily get financing approval. This 70/0 offer is on the Ford.ca homepage, the Escape webpage and the Incentives webpage. When we went to sign for the car, they said "No...only 60 months and that offer was wrong". So I called customer service back TWICE IN THE DEALERSHIP - with the sales person standing there, and on speakerphone (being recorded) and then had TWO MORE customer service people at Ford of Canada Relationship Centre 1-800-565-3673 tell me THAT THE OFFER IS CORRECT as long as it's not a Escape S model. It's not. But, the dealer said their computer can't enter that deal for Ford Credit. So we left and they said they would look into it. Well today we hear they still have not solved it. The offer ends on the 30th. TUESDAY! I was dealing with Customer Service and finally got ahold of a nice guy Tim this afternoon who is the Mgr for Customer Service in Canada. He politely told me that Ford only sells the cars to the dealers and that Ford cannot do anything to help me - when in fact, you've just advertised it, you own the finance company, and your customer service reps are being recorded saying in fact my dealer is wrong and THAT IS the offer. He told me to call Ford Credit. Ford Credit told me they cannot help as I am not a customer, and to go to Customer Service. BTW: Credit is not an issue for her - that I can assure you. My own score is 720. People here will know what that means. Ford Canada's social media people (Carson) know me as I posted there, but they said they cannot help. If you want to know how to get ahold of me, Carson at Ford knows. https://www.facebook.com/carson.atfordcanada?ref=ts&fref=ts HERE IS THE EXACT WORDING OF THE OFFER from the bottom of this web page (View Additional Disclosures) http://www.ford.ca/incentives/ #66 Until April 30, 2013, receive 0% APR purchase financing on new 2013 Ford [Expedition/ Fusion (excluding Hybrid, HEV/PHEV), Escape (excluding S) /Fiesta(excluding S),Focus (excluding S, ST and BEV), Taurus (excluding SE)] models for a maximum of 48/60/72 months to qualified retail customers, on approved credit (OAC) from Ford Credit. Not all buyers will qualify for the lowest interest rate. Example: $25,000 purchase financed at 0% APR for 48/60/72 months, monthly payment is $520.83/$416.66/$347.22 cost of borrowing is $0 or APR of 0% and total to be repaid is $25,000. Down payment on purchase financing offers may be required based on approved credit from Ford Credit. Taxes payable on full amount of purchase price. If you can help...wonderful. If not, she's likely going to decide not to get a bait and switch dumped on her...but I'd like to see it in the driveway.
  9. transitman, Any idea when the '14 will be on the dealer lots?
  10. Considering an Escape, but we must be close to 2014 deliveries seeing as Mazda CX5 is already a '14.
  11. Stunning. Simply stunning. I have owed two top of the line white Infiniti FX35's in the past and always thought it was the best looking mid-small Sport Utility. Not anymore. This thing is truly spectacular looking. Really amazing guys. Well done. But do not cut corners when translating this perfect design and lines into the real version....or you will have lost what you just found...a new customer. I will not buy one if you ruin it. I was not a fan of the front end of the just released new Lincoln (its nice but too blah...too normal, bland)...but this taller grill and the taller lights with the line through the grill to match the hood lines makes it all work proportionally - PERFECT. We currently have two loaded Wranglers for fun....trading one for a Touareg, so now lets get this thing to tow 4500 and I'll get this when the other Wrangler is due. And yes that Wrangler tows my 4500 pound boat very well for 5 hour trips - as its really rated in the Europe for more than here...likely legal reasons. The new Pentastar engine is outstanding - but I'm pretty sure so is this motor.
