  1. Thanks all for the replies. I think I will try another dealer. I'm due for an oil change and I also need to get my cup holder fixed (one of the plastic fingers is broken). I'll add this to the list. Erik
  2. On my 2013 Titanium, at low speeds the climate control fan makes a clicking sound. It's pretty noticeable, especially when the radio is low. I had the dealership look at it, and they claim all Fusions with automatic climate control have the noise. Can anyone else confirm if their vehicle's fan makes the noise? Thanks.
  3. I took a trip on the Turnpike out to Pittsburgh. Kept speed between 65 and 75. Got 25 MPG. Around town, I'm getting 17.
  4. Sorry to hear there is no resolution of your nav issue. I'd love to hear about your long-term mileage. So far mine has been horrible.
  5. I got it on mine just because I couldn't find one exactly how I wanted without it. I actually like it more than I thought I would. I thought it was silly at first, but on the PA Turnpike I found it quite helpful. If I had the choice, would I pay $1,000 for it? Only if I did a lot of highway driving (which I don't).
  6. RRF -- what dealer are you using in Harrisburg? I'm in Mechanicsburg. I'm curious to hear about your mileage, since we live in the same area.
  7. One question -- where on the trip computer does it tell you how many gallons have been used? I can't find it on mine.
  8. I just spoke with Customer Relations today about my continued poor mileage. They told me they have nothing on file concerning mileage issues with the Fusion. She suggested that if I know of anyone having mileage problems, they should call Customer Relations so they can start tracking it. So if you are having issues, it's worth calling them.
  9. That's interesting about the test. I'll be curious to see what happens in the spring.
  10. Do you have FWD or AWD? My wife recently took the car down to Washington, D.C., about 200 miles round trip. Her MPG was 25, which isn't too bad but still not where it should be. It was on a weekend and there wasn't much stop and go.
  11. Took my car in today for the headlight recall. They said they called Ford about the mileage and that there are "no known issues" for mileage with this model. They said further that I shouldn't expect posted mileage until I have about 5,000 miles on the clock. I'll just keep monitoring it and hope for the best. If by my first oil change the mileage doesn't improve, I will push a little harder. Erik
  12. Just did a drive tonight that's 35 miles and back, expressway. In prior cars I always easily met or exceeded the highway mileage rating on this route. My Fusion, according to the instant monitor, was right around 22.5 MPG. I was travelling between 65 and 70, in light traffic, not varying the pedal much. Something doesn't seem right. I'm not sure if the torque converter isn't locking up, because it seems to be in 6th gear (I even tried manual shifting to see if that helped). RPM are right around 2,000.
  13. That's interesting -- one thing I noticed yesterday was that my transmission seems to be holding lower gears a little too long -- for example, I was going 45 on a fairly level road, wasn't accelerating, and it stuck at around 20 MPG instantaneous for about 1/4-1/3 mile before finally upshifting. I'm thinking my transmission is acting off. I may ask the dealer to take a look at that when they do the headlight recall.
  14. No, definitely mixed, probably 60/40 suburbs/expressway. Very little pure city.
  15. I'm also experiencing very disappointing mileage so far. I've got 900 miles on the clock, and in mixed driving I am getting 18-20 MPG. Same driving I was getting around 17 in a Honda Ridgeline, and in a BMW 328i I had 23. Considering Ford's mileage claims I expected much better. If it doesn't improve soon when I take it in for the headlight recall I am going to request they look at why the mileage is so poor.
