  1. Correct, I use the 120v charger. I plug in when I get home and unplug when I leave in the morning. Even when I work late I have a large enough charging window. We haven't timed it precisely but it seems to take around 6 hours to fully charge. Less when I come home and haven't depleted the battery.
  2. JeanLuc - oh no! Hope they get busy inspecting them so you can get your new ride. How many weeks has it been since you first ordered it? P.s. yesterday's commute was 7 miles, today was 12 miles. All EV! I do drive more on weekends with errands, etc.
  3. My understanding regarding the "pulled for reinspection" is that they found some type of problem on a similar vehicle on the assembly line and they want to double-check all the vehicles produced but not yet shipped. My dealer did confirm that my vehicle had 2 inspection stickers. As frustrating as the extra wait was, I'd rather not have extra trips to the dealer for repairs after delivery. I do think my new ride is deserving of a name. I am not very creative in that area so the best I have come up with so far is the "GadgetMobile". I swear that this car has more technology than many of the computers I have owned! Today's project is to figure out how many miles I drive on my normal commute - the old Regal hasn't had a functioning odometer since last summer so I really don't know how many miles I drive. On a normal day I never leave the suburb that I live in. I just drive a big rectangle: house, gym, 1st work location, 2nd work location, house. It is a big day when I go to the Trader Joe's in the neighboring suburb!
  4. My build to delivery time was 4 weeks. My vehicle got pulled for reinspection so wasn't released to shipping until 2/26 (built 2/8). Hopefully yours will be on its way to you soon!!!
  5. http://fordcmaxenergiforum.com/gallery/album/20-gadgetgirls-ride/ I posted my pictures in the tracking section and also on the Energi forum. My iPad isn't giving me the same functionality to post the links here. Try the URL I pasted above.
  6. Cyberdman, Thank you for all your assistance with my order. I took delivery last Friday, March 8th. Here is my new ride: Thank you again, GadgetGirl
  7. @rhea - my car was built on 2/8 but before it shipped it got pulled back for another inspection so it didn't get released until 2/26. I suspect that other cars were also reinspected which would explain the changing ETA you are seeing. Trina only checks Facebook on weekdays so hopefully you will get some more information on Monday. So far, so good with my new ride! First charging was last night and I started the day with 17 miles of battery. Today is not my normal routine due to a conference so I'm not sure if it will be a pure EV day.
  8. @rhea - I was wondering, too, about that fix-a-flat kit. It was odd I picked up a nail, but we did have a lot of snow on Tuesday so the plows were churning up all sorts of stuff. I now have my new ride but there is a learning curve. Feeling a bit overwhelmed at the moment but I'm sure that after a couple of days I will have it figured out. Took pictures and then left the camera in the garage (I'm at work now) so I will have to upload them tomorrow.
  9. Jeff - yes, that is how is SHOULD work in the world according to GadetGirl. But obviously this did NOT happen. This is not a small dealer either. Like I said, it has been a long, strange trip.
  10. Of course I will attach a picture!!!! I will probably also take another showing my trusty 1992 Ford Explorer that I had to use today when my Regal picked up a nail in one of its tires last night. Trina or Eric will just need your VIN#. You use the FB message function to send it to them. LOVE the icons!!!!! Thanks for all your support. Here's hoping yours gets to you soon. I will celebrate with you on that happy day.
  11. What a long, strange trip it has been........ I am picking up my Energi tomorrow morning. I found out from the Ford Social Media contact (Trina) this afternoon that my car was delivered to the dealership on TUESDAY. NO ONE CALLED ME. I put a call into the sales manager immediately. They called back about 30 minutes later with the song and dance that they had to get it ready. BS. They could have given me a courtesy call to tell me it had arrived. I realize they need to prep it but I have been waiting 18 FREAKING WEEKS!!! Sheesh. Idiots. And so much for that 2/18 ETA...... If you are on Facebook, friend "Trina at Ford" or "Eric at Ford". They are both very responsive. Far better than my dealership.....
  12. No state rebate for me. Illinois is broke, very broke. I agree that Ford needs to be more transparent about these delays. It will be 18 weeks on Saturday and I have to admit I'm wondering if it will be worth the wait. This certainly was not the buying experience that I was expecting.
  13. HAH HAH HAH. Not falling for that - don't you know that they aren't shipping any Energis to Illinois because the weather is too damn cold and the batteries won't give the MPG advertised? That is why they are all going to Florida and California. I have yet to see any Energi or regular C-MAX on the roads around here in the 4 months that I have been waiting. They are as rare as unicorns in these parts. It has been so long that I don't really believe I ordered a new vehicle. Thank goodness my trusty Buick Regal is still getting me around.
  14. I'm baffled as to the delay in shipping since I live so close (relatively speaking) to Michigan. Sure we had some snow last week, but it wasn't any big deal. The storm tomorrow does show promise of being disruptive, but the weatherman have been wrong before. At this point it is a race between spring arriving in Chicago and my Energi someday showing up. I'm anxious for both!
