Wondering if anyone can help. I just ordered my new 2013 F250 Platinum 6.7L and although the gas milage is pretty good on it (I drove my friends home from the dealer for him the other night), I heard that some performance chips can jump 5-6MPG. The chip Im looking for is simply for MPG, I dont need to mess with HP "YET". I was also told to look with one with a ghost mode that I can use for to save my warranty... OK...GO! What are your suggestions?

If you want a mean lookinig tire you should look at the NITTO Terra Graplers (spell?) I saw them on a 250 and they looked SICK!

its not too expensive...I just ordered my truck and did the research. The "1/2 full" tank alert comes on at rough 4k miles. From there it will take 2 gallons and 2 gallons cost about 18-20 bucks. You dont need the dealer to fill this. It does suck and I guess there is no way to bypass...although bypassing it wont help sound, MPG or power so really to bypass it would only save you a $20 every few months. Im just sucking it up. Maybe do my part for emissions

Its a 2013 F250 platinum package with everything....literally every option I could click whether I needed it now or not. You can start your truck with the heat blowing. All you have to do is go into your truck settings on your dash readout and turn on "last setting" under the remote start. What this does is when you remote start it turns on the heat to the temp of when it was shut off and the fan speed (this will not turn on the heated seats or steering wheel) but with the new trucks like on the one I ordered if it is below 40 degrees the seats and steering wheel turn on as soon as you remote start

Doing more research on the new SD wondering do you have to use DEF all the time? How long does a tank last? Does it affect fuel mileage? Oh sorry I didnt see the rest of the question...the fuel is injected at the exaust fumes so it has no effect on power or milage (again this is research on the internet) the ford website says that it lasts approx 8k with average driving. You can refill 2 gallons at a time at the "1/2 full prompt" and 2 gallons costs roughly 18-20 bucks at the autopart store

Well I did my research and YES you need to use it and here is why... 1) when the DEF tank is 1/2 full (around 4k miles) you will get your only "nice" warning... 2) when the DEF tank get within 500 miles of being empty, the computer puts a speed restrictor on your truck 3) when you get to 50 or a 100 miles from empty the truck gets put in a valet mode haha Now I have never seen this or heard of anyone personally that has had it happen to them but when I was researching the build on my new F250 6.7L, this is what I found most sites saying. #3 might be a different mileage to shutdown, I cant remember exactly

Do you think that it is worth putting a performance chip? They say you can eek out another 5 or 6 MPG? Anyone using these on the new 6.7L deisel?

I ordered mine with these! Now Im like a kid...looking for something to hook up to them. I know my friend needed them and was looking at them aftermarket. they were expensive and looked...eh. For the price of adding them to the build it is WELL worth it, thats why I put them on mine.

I know that in my F150 I have the premium sound system and it comes with a sub under the rear seat. Do they do that in the F250s? I just ordered one and totally forgot to look if it comes with the upgraded sound package... Thanks
