lol, yes the battery My dealer gave me a key ring with 3 keys, one had a black handle, the other two did not, they are just the metal part. So my guess is that each of those two go into the two remotes. -

Ok, I got it! The cover lifts off. No key inside, but I have two from the dealer so I will put one in tonight. At least I figured out how to get the thing open. And without breaking it -

I tried. Seems to be stuck, or getting it to open the first time is a pain. New remote and all. So does it slide towards the key ring, or away? And I assume it's the side without the buttons that slides ?... -

Ok, figured it out I think. The outside drivers door has a hidden compartment. You remove the key blade from your remote (still trying to figure that out) and push that blade into the bottom of the drivers door handle, releasing the cover. You can then use the blade to open the door. The remote can then be placed in the console to start and operate the car. My guess is that is what the two plane blades are for, I suppose the one with the black handle lockes the glove box. -

The manual talks about a hiden key in the remote, and that it is used in a hidden location in the drivers door handle. I could not get my remote open to see the hidden key, and can't find any secret cap on the door handle. Guess I better not loose my remote!!! -

Yes, the blanks don't look so blank though, but yes, a Velet key then. How is that used? Don't see anywhere to put a key ?.. -

So, question on the weird set of keys that came with the car, what are they for? My dealer thinks they lock the glove box. One had sort of a handle. but two are just the metal part. I just put them away, but wondering how they are used. -

That sounds awesome. Well my trip back was better, I filled the tank with about 10 gallons and Fuelly gives me a 32 mpg even, which is what the car was saying. On the trip back, the car was up to 32.9, and my trip mpg was 42.5. Although, some of that was due to traffic slowed from 75 down to 50 to 60 mph, and I ended up in EV mode for maybe 5 miles or so. That really kicked up my mpg. But I guess it all evens out. Overall, much better than my Grand Prix at a steady 20 to 22 Mpg. -

I also see your in Virginia, so that probably helps. I live in Sothern California, and primarily drive in either Orange County, or Inland Empire with a lot of traffic, going fast then slow, cutting in and out of traffic (other people) etc. It is cool to let the adaptive cruise slow the car when someone gets in front, but there has been a few times the collision warning goes off as the car can't slow down and I have to hit the brakes. It's all a fun new experience. My goal was a 40mpg car, and I am sure I will end up getting that in the long run -

My MPG is inching up. I just did a 40 mile trip with 37.4 mpg. So getting better. Thinking about resetting the average MPG. But maybe not since I can track tank to tank with Fuelly. -

Sounds good, btw, I see your getting 47 on yours (Fuelly). But with 31 fillups. Did it take a lot of time? The car says 32mpg. I will rely on Fuelly, but hopping it will improve as the dealer says it will. -

I have just over 400 miles on my Hybrid as of this morning. I will be going out to one of my remote offices later, so going about 150 more. My panel says I have about 50 miles to empty. Not sure how accurate that is, but I will wait until I see the guage change color as it is supposed to according to the manual. So I will see how my mileage is doing once I get my first tank filled . Even though I have tried once, but got less then a gallon in. That was really just to get Fuelly updated. -

I will try again, and my phone is the only one ever connected in my car. Maybe I will try while using my USB cable instead of Blue Tooth, although don't think at will matter. Thanks for taking time to assist by the way. -

Yes, exactly like yours, except my name and number. It starts to run the report, then dials 888-796-2864 which is a number with a recording that I haven't registered yet. Irritating.
