I'm curious, did your dealer provide a more extensive delivery checkout/orientation process for Hybrid sales? Many of us are completely new to the hybrid experience and a little extra time might be needed to get familiar with the nuances of the vehicle.

You are absolutely right Neod192. That was actually my problem as my "garage" on owner.ford.com correctly lists my entered VIN as a hybrid but the manuals (1st, 2nd, and 3rd printings) are all non-hybrid. The hybrid manual I eventually found on the motorcraftservice site looks more like a first printing draft version.

While I am anxiously awaiting my Fusion Hybrid Titanium, I thought I would spend some time with the Owners Manual. I downloaded the copy via the owner.ford.com link that takes you to the motorcraftservice.com site. The file (13fsnom3e.pdf) is titled Fusion Owners Manual. The odd thing is that it does not have much content really specific to the Hybrid power train. Is there a manual supplement that comes with the vehicle that addresses hybrid-specific topics? Thanks.

Thank you for the concise summary Inkblot. Has anyone successfully obtained a VIN through the Ford Chat feature on the Ford build page? As a new Buyer I have tried that a couple of times but have to date they haven't been able to tell me anything. I'm looking forward to using the other tools you listed once I get my VIN.

Thanks Jeff. Yes, I do have my Dealer Number and Order Number. I have used Ford chat a couple of times but neither time were they able to give me any information other than its getting ready for production. I try to email my dealer weekly after the Thursday evening production update runs to see if anything has changed. I have yet to hear after the most recent scheduling run. Maybe this will be my lucky week.

Hello all. I am anxiously awaiting my newly ordered (Feb 9) 2013 Ford Fusion Hybrid Titanium. I have yet to receive confirmation of a build date but check in with my dealer weekly to see if the order status has been updated. I never have put in a special order for a car before so this is a new experience for me. The wait is difficult for sure. The good part of the wait is the ability to read through all of the threads on this forum and gain information other people have shared about the process. Thank you all for your willingness to share your perspective, opinions and experiences. It seems like production of the HyTi is ramping up so hopefully my car will enter a build status in the next few weeks. I want that VIN! Thanks everyone.
