That actually may be the and reason for the change in the alert sounds for the Cross Traffic because what you explained seems the same what I am experiencing.

Oh, that explains a lot! Thank you!! So when the Cross Traffic Alert alternates with beeps the sound is playing through the small speakers in the instrument cluster? Then when it is a solid town it is playing out of the car speakers?

It is almost like the alerts are more loud and direct when the Cross Traffic Alert is a beeping sound than when the alert is just a solid tone because the sound is a lot quiter and less intrusive.

No, it's definitely not the parking sensors because I manually turned them off when I was testing the Cross Traffic Alert. It seems like when I turn my car on for the first time in a few days the alert is a beeping sound but when I readily use my car numerous times a day the alert is a solid tone.

Okay, because sometimes the Cross Traffic Alert in my Fusion makes a beeping alert sound and sometimes it makes a solid tone.

Yes, I mean for Cross Traffic alert the sound you hear is a beeping sound, right? Because I hear a constant solid tone when a car is passing behind me (and it's not the reverse sensing system... that seems to be working fine).

Are the tones for the cross traffic alert a smooth constant tone or a beeping tone? Sometimes mine is a constant tone and sometimes it changes to a beeping tone.

So whenever your cross traffic alert I detects a vehicle passing behind you the alert is a destict beeping sound that alternates on and off? Also, what about the BLIS system when a vehicle is passing you on the highway and you have your turning signal on, will the BLIS light in the mirror flash and sound a tone?... the reason I ask is because this feature also is not working properly. I have no alerts when my turning signal is on and a car is passing me on the highway. Is anyone else having a similar problem?

I noticed the other day that the BLIS system changes to different sounds sometimes. I was backing out of my driveway the other day and the Cross Traffic Alert went off because a car was passing behind me. The sound for the Cross Traffic Alert was a beeping sound. I am not use to the alert being a long constant beep. I have never heard the alternating beeping sound before and have always remember it being a constant sound. Does anyone know why the sound changes from a beeping sound to a long constant sound?

Hopefully MyFord Touch gets fixed soon because I keep finding more and more problems with it!

How hard was it to install the HID/LED assembly? Post some pictures!

Really, there is no way to fix it? That's annoying that the radio has to be switched to surround manually every time!

Has anyone thought of buying the Ford Dynamic LEDs used on the new Mondeo in Europe and installing them on the Fusion? I wonder if that is possible and there isn't any need for wire conversions.

Has anyone had problems with the radio on MyFord Touch where it will not stay on the surround option. Every time I turn the car off and then back on the radio defaults back to the stereo option.

Not sure I want to try that... heard too many bad stories when using pointless dent repair.
