  1. Thought I would share our experience with respect to our CMax Energi refund. The $5,800.00+ application was sent to the ministry on July 3, 2013. The money was released to our account 6 weeks later. We have had the Energi for close to two months. There is about 1,500 kilometres on the vehicle and the gas tank remains 3/4 full. We are using 1.1 L/100 kilometres. Most of the driving is around our little city of about 35,000 people. We have received notification of two recalls and the dealer will schedule them all once they get the new update for syc which apparently is different for the CMax. The comfort level because of the extra height makes the decreased MPG which also occurs worth the slight extra cost. Thank you Doug
  2. Does anyone know what Ford and the competition are doing to make First Responders aware of potential danger associated the high voltage systems incorporated into the Energi following a motor vehicle collision? There is one u tube video which discusses the risk which I have reviewed. Perhaps, a standard manufacturers window sticker is an option. Thank you
  3. Time line for our Energi was as follows: Ordered March 5, 2013. Scheduled date of production 2013-June-06 Ready for pick up and picked up 2013-July-02 17 weeks from order to pick up Hope that is helpful Than you Doug
  4. Interesting in that when I first looked at the CMax I was able to do a build a few months ago. I then put an order in. Last night I was not able to do so on the ford.ca site but could on the .com site. I know they have been selling in London Ontario when the dealer can get them. We expect ours within the next couple of weeks. Ford is certainly not saying why the CMax Energi is not readily available in Canada. Thank you Doug
  5. To-night I was on the Ford Canadian web site (www.ford.ca) and was surprised that one can NOT build and price a CMax on line. This is a significant change to the web site.. Has production been cut off, for out of U.S. sales. I guess I was lucky to get an order in for the Energi (build date June, 4, 2013) assuming there are not any significant issues associated with this product line). Why is Ford limiting sales of this product line? Does any one know? Thank you Doug
  6. Great ride I purchased a 500 new back in 07. The first year of production. You will NOT want to drive it in the winter! It does not like snow. Very low ride. They are a real pleasure to drive. We took ours through the blue ridge parkway the first year. You will not have to wait as long as I did for delivery (ordered on the long week end in May 2005). To get on the list for delivery to Canada I believe 421 where shipped to Canada of the 10,000 built in 2007. You will really like how it handles and with 540 plus hp you do not need the mods. Trust me.
  7. I find it exciting that ford, their employees and customers are taking the time to engage people such as myself. I have owned Fords for longer then I can remember and still have a 65 Mustang convertible, 67 FTBACK, 07 Shelby 500. Now a new stage in life (retirement). We recently ordered a 2013 CMax Energi and in part the decision to go with the CMax electric was the information we where able to gather through this forum and the other Ford forums. Keep up the good work. As most know there is ABSOLUTELY NO MARKETING OF THE CMAX IN CANADA (or I am blind). BTW: The energi will be replacing my wifes 2003 Taurus which she drove with out significiant repair cost for 10 years and 300,000 kilometers (not bad). I hope this is where I request information on the VIN number trail. The vin is 1FADP5CU9DL542216 It was ordered March 5th, Ford "A" plan, London Ontario, Canada. I understand we can expect delivery sometime in June. Thank you in advance for this information as your convenience. thanx doug
