  1. The actual advertisement on the webpage  says "A/Z return lessees".  Nothing about Ford only (not Lincoln) A/Z returning lessees until you see the fine print.  It's just a bummer it worked out like this.  I still have over a week to decide on manufacturers.  We've Only had Ford and Lincolns our whole lives (except for once).  A total of 8 or so new vehicles.  Frustrating anyways to say the least.

IIRC, dealers retain the right to refuse A/X/Z plan on any "in stock" vehicle.

They didn't refuse the deal they said I didn't qualify for the deal.  I brought the issue to this section hoping to hear from from an executive as to why it was advertised on the website as deals for all A/Z members but then it really wasn't.   I was also hoping to get some insight as to not qualifying even though I was coming out of a red carpet lease from Ford.  It sounds like they have Lincoln rebates that you can qualify for if your coming out of a Ford RCL,   just not the other way around.  Again,  it's their right to do whatever they want,  I just want them to know how displeasing it is to spend hours in a dealership only to be told you don't qualify.

But they could have just said you don't qualify as a way of refusing the deal.   Just saying that's always a possibility and why you should at least check with another dealer to be sure.   I do think sometimes those offers are specific as to brands and sometimes even certain models to qualify - that's not new.

You really should have checked up front to see if you were eligible for any program before spending hours in a dealership.

You will not get a response from an executive or any Ford employee (officially) on this forum, whether they read your post or not.

To be clear,  I did check up front.  I did mention the day before (I called the dealership to setup an appt to come out) that I was coming out of a Lincoln lease.  She checked with a manager and they stated there should be no issue with it being a Lincoln rcl.  It was only after being there for some time the issue was realized.

  4. I went out on Saturday fully intending to drive away in an f150 super crew 4 wheel drive. When I got there I was shocked to learn I did not qualify but for about $100 dollars more a month I could get that same vehicle.    On the front webpage of Ford.com there is a link that says "build for the Holidays" with a link that says view all offers. When you click on that there is a specific section for A/Z plan members to click on for their special discounts.  The offer was for an F150 XLT super crew 4 wheel drive (302a) for $139 with $2259 cash due at signing.  The fine print however says you have to be coming out of a ford RCL to qualify.  Is it really special pricing for all Ford A/Z plan members when you actually eliminate 80% of A/Z members by saying you have to be coming out of a Ford lease to qualify for the great saving?   But wait,  there's more!  I am coming out of a RCL Lease.  It is for a Lincoln though.  I always thought a RCL thru Ford was a "FORD RCL".   Since it's a RCL on a Lincoln (OWNED BY FORD) once again I do not qualify for the special offers.  It's frustrating enough just spending hours in a dealership to purchase a vehicle.  It's even more frustrating when you have to walk away.

  5. The 2018 Fusion hybrid and energi had the platinum trim level. They took away that trim level in 2019 and at the same time took away the park assist and front sensing system. I took a long test drive in a 2019 titanium fusion energi (my father just purchased one) and also searched online. Unless I'm completely blind, it's not an option. The only version that has it (as far as I can tell in the 2019 fusion) is the V6 sport fusion.

  6. Got no where with them. He said their system or something wasn't working properly or something. He said they had it but it wasn't working now (corrupted maybe). These guys should know how to do an update right? He said the screen in my car said something like no update available. Come to think about it he did say he would need more time in front if my screen in the car. He said he could tell on the computer an update was available though. He said when I come back to get the seat cover replaced he should know more.

  7. I have a 2016 Lincoln MKC, I received an update thru Lincoln.com for sync 3. I am currently running sync 3 version 1.1 It said the update will update sync 3 to 2.2. I downloaded the update unzipped it

and transferred it over to a flash drive as stated (formatted in 32 bit). I start the car and insert the disk. It then says updating software (something like that). About 10 minutes after it starts it errors out and it says

    Installation failed

The installation has run out of space or does not work with this version.

Anyone know what could be causing this issue with the install? I even deleted all bluetooth devices and made sure no other USB drives were inserted I re downloaded it and started over from scratch. Same exact error each time. The one thing I did notice was this update has about 7 files (6 in a folder and the one which initiates the install...auto install) It is over 2 gb in size. One file is over 1gb, another is over 600 mb and another is about 450 mb. I don't know how big the sync 3 system is (how much it will hold in memory or internal storage). Any help would be appreciated.

  8. I guess I forgot to add the smiley face after the stickler part, :) I assumed you would know I was harassing you by that point. Any ideas about if or when sync 3 will work with these type of programs? The main post circulating from Ford/Lincoln was around Jan of 2015. I just couldn't justify spending an extra $5000 dollars to get Navigation on my MKC. I'm looking for a good alternative working with Sync 3 (thru the speakers and screen while listening to music).

  9. Sync 3 is a definate improvement. It's quick and responsive and does work more like your cell (swiping left or right, up or down). They say you can zoom in and out but I don't have navigation so I've never tired it. I am extremely impressed with the night and day difference although I never really had a problem with way the old system on a 2013 Lincoln MKZ. It was slower and more painstaking to get things accomplished but I came in not expecting the older system to work as good as a cell phone. I couldn't see a reason why anyone would complain about the changes they have made to the system so far. I do notice however, even if my phone is linked up, switching to Bluetooth music and the music app up on my phone, I can't get the music to start for the first time without pushing play on my phone. That's kind of annoying if you forget to push play before you start driving. It might be a system quark that is easily fixed in a update. It might also be a phone issue although I don't recall it being an issue in the older version. It knows what song is ready to play (on the screen) the play button in the car just won't start it up for the first time. You can push play, it looks like it starts but after 5 seconds it goes back to where you can push play again on the screen. After I push play on the phone, it seems to work fine.

I was also expecting it to allow users more control over apps. What I mean by that is there are plenty of programs out there that will work but they won't allow them to be installed. I for one, couldn't justify a $5000 upgrade to get Navigation added to my MKC. The navigation itself does not cost that much but you can't get Navigation by itself on the base model. I read different forums where they were going to allow certain programs to work (like scout or android auto) but this has not happened yet as far as I can tell. There are multiple very useful programs that would greatly enhance the owners view of their new system. I hope they allow us a chance to either upgrade to Navigation at a more reasonable price or give us access to programs that will work with the new sync 3 program.

Are you guys at Ford and Lincoln listening? We want access to all programs we can run on our phones and we want it now. Oh and at no cost of us of course! :)

  10. I've had both the 18" and 19" tires on different MKZs (2013 models). IMO it is a more bumpier and more noisy ride driving on the 19" tires. I noticed this immediately after switching although now that it's been a while, I don't notice it. Unless you need the quietest and smoothest ride, you'll probably not be bothered by the difference. You should probably take the one with 18s on a 20 minute drive then hop in the one with 19s and drive it down the same roads. Although boring, you would probably want to turn the radio down for part of the drive. I know these (Fusion verses MKZ) are very different although similar vehicles. I think the Lincoln has some type of noise cancelling built into it. I don't know if the Fusion does.
