  1. I just got a recall notice for the all weather mats I have in my '08 MKZ. It has to do with the gas pedal getting stuck on the mat. I checked and it doesn't appear that mat will get anywhere near the pedal where it would get stuck. I like my mats the way they are and may not do the recall. I'm wondering if anyone else got a notice and if so have you gotten you new mats? I'd like to see what they look like before I decided on doing the recall or not. NHTSA recall number is 14E-028.
  2. Yes it does. In fact now that you mention it each no start incident occurred while the vehicle was cranking on its own without my hand on the key. Is there something with this system I should be looking at, such as a software upgrade?
  3. Looks like it has a camshaft position sensor and a crank shaft position sensor. Which would be most likely the issue?
  4. Thanks for the info, glad I'm not alone. Do these cars have a crank position sensor? If so would it be worth looking at that?
  5. I have a 2008 MKZ with only 27k on it. Three times now I've had an issued where when I try to start it it just cranks and doesn't start. If I turn the key off and try again it starts right up. Theres no rhyme or reason to it. It did it once, then went months with it being ok, then it did it again. Some time passed and it did it again today. There is no check engine light. The car does have factory installed remote start, but the no start issue only seems to do it when using the key in the ignition. The car runs perfect other then this occasional no start problem. Any thoughts?
  6. I've registered with and been to the above site and it just tells me to make an appointment at the dealership. From what I've read version 2 is a dealer only install, where as some of the previous versions can be installed at home by USB, those are the versions I'm looking for.
  7. Recently purchased a 2008 MKZ which has factory navigation and Sync. When I signed up at the Lincoln website it says there is a newer version of Sync (ver 2.0 I believe) but it has to be installed at the dealer. I've seen mentioned version 1.1, 1.2 and 1.3 which has some improvements. Is there any place I can get these older upgrades to keep me from a trip to the dealer for version 2? Thanks.
