Is anyone having a horrible time with their headliner recall and the parts being broken/crappy service? I got my 2013 Fusion headliner replaced back in JANUARY, and ever since then I had nothing but problems, I'm so mad! Each time I get my car back from the ford service department another bracket/pillar is broken, my car looks so much worse since it was performed.
So here's my questions, a service tech told my husband that large gaps next to the bottom of the A pillars, next to the dash, were normal. Like hell they are, they weren't there before I trusted them with my vehicle. I shouldn't be able to see the foam under the pillar from my driver's seat. Or the sun shining through it! Does everyone else have these gaps?
Does anyone have foam sticking out of the top of the dash, where it meets the windshield? want to be sure, I don't remember it being so jagged and uneven.
I think my entire headliner is installed incorrectly, since the right rear pillar& cover will not stay on, it doesn't fit (no clearance left against the rear window) and they have replaced it with a new one 3 times now. Is that possible and that's just whats messing the other brackets up?
So far I have had each pillar replaced at least once if not twice/3 times. Each time they dent, break, push white spots into the plastic. I have fingerprints all over the outsides of the headliner, and what looks like yellow adhesive. I've head the sun roof electronic panel replaced because blue lights were shining into my eyes from the rear view mirror after they broke that clip. Now I see the right rear headliner is sagging, probably another broken clip. The other pillars look ok but they don't seem attached very well and could detach at any moment. I'm so done with this, I just had it there most of the day last Friday to have the rear pillars, sunroof panel, and misc items replaced that they broke again. Then also had water damage cleaned from the "sun roof vent" leaking inside the car- wonder how that happened. My husband picked it up and what do you know, the rear pillar was still not on right, then once again its still not staying on to this day.
What you think, dealership problem or bad manufacturing problem?
