  1. Just curious if the issues plaguing the 2020 Explorer have been remedied. There are great incentives on them currently, so thinking about grabbing one. Does anyone have any insight to this? Should I look for the production date on the window sticker to be after a certain date? Thanks!
  2. I did notice that the 1.0 has the "selectshift" transmission, whereas the 2.0 has the "powershift". It's the latter that's the problem child than?
  3. Hey Guys, 2007 Focus owner, very tempted by the current $5,500 off promo that Ford is offering. Thinking of grabbing a 1.0L SE, since with the promo, my dad's Z-Plan, and a modest trade in, I could probably be out-the-door for under 16k. Just wondering what the opinion of the masses is pertaining to the 1.0L engine. YouTube videos seem mostly complimentary of it. Do you guys like it? Durability to last well past 100k miles? Additionally, if I grabbed one, I'd pair it with the automatic transmission. I know this generation of Focus has had significant transmission issues...has that been cleaned up by now? Thanks!

  5. Turns out that the rear hatch unseats itself mechanically and stays ajar from time to time. The dead battery occurred before we diagnosed that the hatch was ajar, and some module somewhere simply didn't kick off...thus the dead battery. Have had the Edge in the shop 4 times now, and the rear hatch issue hasn't been fixed. It continues to "unseat" itself from time to time, and they can't figure out why, or replicate it.
  6. 2016 Edge, Titanium, AWD, 19,000 miles. Vehicle has gone completely dead on me twice now. Too dead to even charge it with cables, both times have required a call to AAA to have them bring a charging unit. First occurrence was after it had sat in the garage for about 8 days. Second occurrence was after a day and a half. Upon it being charged, got a "rear hatch ajar" warning message, though the hatch was fully shut. Received a similar warning message today though the vehicle luckily hasn't died again...yet. Been to the dealer twice with it. Replaced the battery the first time, simply monitored it the second time. They're clueless. Thoughts?

    Turns out about 400 Edges were held for a transmission rotating clutch assembly inspection...apparently mine passed...now I'll only go postal if the clutch goes out just after the warranty expires! Haha

    Just curious, because I've seen plenty of posts on here where a vehicle is built and shipped almost immediately. Is there typically a reason associated with what's happening with mine? Or is it just completely random? Thanks.

    Thanks for the insights, very appreciated. Guess I'm just one of the unlucky ones! Dealer currently has multiple Edges in stock that were built after mine(not configured to my liking unfortunately)...gotta love it.
