I was thinking i was going to tell the dealer to just keep it. Then I made the mistake of taking it for a drive!!

Waloud and all the other that has assisted with trying to locate my truck. Just want to thanks to you guys my truck arrived at the dealer. I drove it today and will take delivery of it on Monday. Thanks again for all that helped out

I'm starting to think maybe my dealer ain't trying as hard as they could. I have seen emails back and forth from the sales rep to the zone manager though

From what my dealer says it was built the week of January 8th ame released January 27. I've seen the emails from my dealer and the zone rep. The zone manager keeps blaming the delay on shipping availability. It will be interesting to see if what you can find out will match up.

I sure hope it ain't a dealer problem. I would love to find out if it truly is a dealer issue. If that was the case I would have no problem walking away from the truck.

The ford dealer said the were paying insurance and interest fees. However it sounds as though that may not be correct. The dealer is super small and really can't afford to absorb the cost of the vehicle and just order another one. Since they are family friends I'm holding out and trying to help the dealer out as well.at least the dealer is holding the value of my trade in so they are trying. I'm still puzzled with Ford as to why the wont let my dealer fly out and pick the truck up.

I have not, the last update was a week or so ago. The dealer showed an arrival date of around May 9th. Yet again it was not delivered. The zone manager is emailing my dealer telling them that there is a huge shipping backlog and that he has been trying to prioritize the truck for them. Of course nothing is happening and the status of the truck from Ford still shows "awaiting shippment". I also found out that the little dealer I bought the truck from is having to pay insurance and interest on the truck and has been since the completion of the truck in January. In my mind that is definitely not right for Ford to do that to any dealer especially when its them that's holding the truck up. I am still looking for a some good news and hopefully the truck will show up eventually, but I have my doubts

Can anyone see if the truck has shipped yet? As of now the dealer is telling me it should be here around may 9th. If that's the case I think it would have to be shipped out of the factory by now. Thanks all for your help!!

I have not had them look into finding one. They are a very small dealer and also family friends. From what I have been told is they will be stuck with the truck I ordered (if it ever shows up) even if they find me a different one. Probably not a big deal for the largest dealers but I would hate to stick them with a truck, especially when it's out of their control. Also, it's a gas motor truck and around here that will not sell to quickly as most everyone prefers the diesel

So I called the ford number today. The lady was super nice but could not look up any info other than the truck is awaiting shipment which has been the case since January. I asked her several times to put me into contact with someone who might have access to more information than she did. She told me the dealer was the only one that could help me... unfortunately the dealer has also asked ford for more info and tried several lines of communication with pretty much the same results I got. It's pretty dang frustrating to say the least. If any one has contact info to any of the regional sales managers for the utah I would greatly appreciate it.

Fuzzy, thank you!! Any idea as to why it would take so long to ship it? If it's supposed to arrive the first week in May it should already be loaded and on it's way. The same thing happened with a first week delivery in Feb, then again in March and April... so I'm pretty sure May will come and go and ford will just issue a new delivery date being the first week in June. I have pretty much convinced myself that the truck is lost and will never be found, hopefully I'm wrong. My dealer told his contact that he would personally fly to the plant and pick the truck up which Ford promptly said no to. Perhaps they have a policy against dealers picking the trucks up? Thanks again everyone. This is the first truck I have ever ordered or for that matter my first new truck. What i thought was supposed to be a fun and exciting event has turned into a major pain!

Thank you for the sticker I haven't been able to print it off anywhere. The dealer shows the truck was supposed to be shipped in January but obviously didn't Now seems as nobody knows where the truck might be after waiting this long I'm getting closer to looking at a different brand.
