I just bought a new 2017 F350 Platinum and we love it except it sits so high that my wife can not get into the truck because the electric running boards are too high. Has anyone lowered the running boards when deployed by 3 or 4 inches? I traded a 2012 F250 with Chrome running boards and on it I installed an electric camper step that deployed out when the door was opened. This gave my wife two steps to get in thus taking care of the problem. I'd hate to take the electric running boards off my new truck but that might be my only solution.
