Heck, you got off cheap!  Try adding the moonroof to a 200A XLT.

Wow.....I couldn't figure out the numbers, so I went back and looked....you can add the comfort package to the 200A but not the 202A without the sunroof and upgraded wheels......I don't get it.......itll certainly cut down on the combinations though.

Man...I'm slightly surprised at the Pricing-No Hybrid for the XLT and just for a few options the XLT is just as expensive as last years ST model starting price.

    Seems a bit steep...

I don't think it will happen, but it's starting to make more sense to put the next Edge and Nautilus on this platform. I'm thinking the prices going up this much is to pay for the new platform.

That's a lot of build variation on Escape... I thought Ford was trying to cut that down?

The lack of ST is probably temporary... give Lincoln some time to move Corsair up market and bank some sales. Can't imagine why Ford wouldn't put the 2.3 EB in Escape ST since it will be in Corsair. Just like the lack of PHEV AWD in Escape... they want to give Lincoln some exclusive options, at least for some period of time.

I saw a chart on FIN that showed the Escape with PHEV and 4x4.

words of advice....buy an Oil Catch can...I installed one in the 1.6 of my ST...one of the issues with the DI engines is oil in the intake, after a while can build up...the can I empty every 3000 or so miles...and the amount, whilst small, isn't insignificant....

Agree..can't believe they haven't upgraded all of the EB engines with PFI by now.

Everything I'm reading says it has a 5 foot bed (same as Ranger).

As for why it is 7" inches longer than the Ranger?  The cab looks bigger, it supposedly has class leading rear seat legroom and there's also usable space behind the rear seat as well.  Also, the Gladiator has a front bumper that sticks out further than the Ranger.

Looks like the bumpers would make up most of the 7".

Thanks for your reply. I am wanting a mid size. I do not care about weight so much though, Or towing ability. I want the utility in a smaller package because just as you stated. The F-series has grown way to big for being practical on a daily commute. I am just over 6'. I have sat in every spot in both cabs (I work at MAP and went to the EE event in Oct.) even when the front seat is set for me in the S-Crew Ranger. I am fully comfortable behind it. To be quite honest, I was underwhelmed when I first seen what we would be building on screen. That was until I really got in it and nit picked it. Maybe, Just maybe you might come away the same as I did.

That is really good to hear.....and I will be looking at them as soon as they hit the showrooms, even though I have a few years before I buy a new truck.

How did it feel when you sat in the new Ranger? Based on your rough size?

Funny! Haven't sat in a Ranger, but I have been in mid size trucks that are slightly larger based on ROTW Ranger dimensions. An F-150 supercab has considerably more room than a super crew mid size.....so in price comparisons that's what I compare......not to mention I'm sure you will get more off the sticker on the 150. I know it's a lifestyle choice also to want a mid size.....and I thought I wanted one. IMO the F-150 has gotten to big and I would like to have something a little smaller.

Young attention seeking buyers don't typically have enough income to buy a $40K new vehicle.  I think this will steal as many Wrangler sales as it does mid-sized truck sales from other mfrs.

Also the Wrangler already costs considerably more than a Ranger......and I'm sure the Gladiator will be even more!
