  1. I ordered a Navigator Select with the 30 way seats and love them. I wanted a bench in the middle row. I did not want a sunroof and did want the technology package. I got x plan pricing and a $2000 rebate. Took about 6 weeks to get. The HIUD and 30 way seats were most important for me. I found that the Navigator was worth the extra money for me.
  2. You can program up to 4 fobs. I added 2. Very easy to program.
  3. Is there a way to find out engine hours on these SUVs? I wanted to see how many hours my engine was running and could not find how to do it. I checked the owner's manual and it has a space for engine hours in the maintenance log, but does not tell you how to display them.
  4. I did look and did not see a way. I was hoping for something hidden I did not see
  5. Is there a way to change the door unlock so they unlock when shifting into park or shutting off the engine as opposed to opening the driver's door?
  6. Thanks. Sounds like I don't need to do anything. I do need to change the reverse wire in the trailer connector. I need to put it on a switch so power is applied to trigger a solenoid to disable the trailer surge brakes (stopping and switching into reverse enables the solenoid too late after the brakes are applied from stopping). Anyone know if there is a good place to intercept this wire?
  7. Thanks Allen. I understand the Expedition/Navigator detects when a trailer is plugged in. However, if you unplug the trailer wiring while the vehicle is turned off, the vehicle will not recognize that the trailer is disconnected. Is that correct? I was trying to push a button on the dash to electrically disconnect the trailer to turn trailer tow mode off before shutting the engine off. I did not see which wire is the detection wire on the link above.
  8. Does anyone know how the 2018 and newer Expeditions and Navigators detect that a trailer is hooked up? I assume it is something in the trailer wiring connector. I wanted to understand this because I would like for the vehicle to detect the trailer is disconnected after I back into my garage before I shut the engine off. I hope to push a button that will make the vehicle think I disconnected the trailer. That will be better for me than leaving the engine on and pulling the wiring connector or remembering to tell the vehicle that the trailer is disconnected after restarting it (I am not even sure how to do this).
  9. Has anyone purchased the factory repair CD for a 2018 or 2019 Navigator or Expedition? Does it include diagnostics? Does it include wiring diagrams? Where is the best place to buy it?
  10. They are compatible with some car seats.
  11. I ordered the inflatable seat belts. My vehicle is due in early March.
  12. If you tint thew front windows and use a sunshade a dark interior should not be an issue. The black interior comes with a black headliner which makes the interior feel dark to me. I really liked the gray. If it was a light gray, I would have gotten the black interior.
  13. It would be so easy to have a more configurable cluster. I bet the cost would be $0 per vehicle if you don't include the small programming cost to program the cluster.
  14. I don't have a picture, but ordered this combo. The gray is a medium gray. I felt it was dark enough that dirt would not be a huge issue. I felt black was too dark and cappuccino was too light. You can probably see a picture in a navigator brochure online.
  15. You ordered about the same time I did. Mine is being built in late February based on what I was told by the dealer. A VIN has already been assigned.
  16. Look for an Expedition as well. A bench seat is much more common in an Expedition. There probably isn't a big difference in the basic shape of the 2nd row between the Expedition and Navigator.
  17. The answer depends on how you want your Select and Reserve configured. Here is my configuration: The equivalent Reserve is: The major difference is the Reserve has a sunroof. The Reserve is $2,105 more expensive. The Sunroof is a $1995 option on the Select. So, in this configuration, the Reserve is $110 more expensive. If I wanted the Sunroof, I would consider paying the $110 to get the Reserve. However, I do like the Select wheels better. Note that if you don't get the 30 way seats, the seats in the Select and Reserve are not the same. With the 30 way seats, they are the same. I would like the Ultima sound system. But, I don't like it enough to get a sunroof I don't want and pay $2105 extra for the Reserve and another $1195 for the sound system and get wheels I don't like as well.
  18. That is all. Everything else is optional on the Select that is standard on the Reserve. The standard seats on the Select are not the same, but both trims have the 30 way option. I do not want a sunroof. I am planning on getting a Select short wheelbase with everything but a sunroof. I would like the upgraded stereo, but I am not willing to step up to a Reserve and get a sunroof just so I can order the stereo. I also prefer the Select rims. The Select is a comparable price to the Reserve with comparable equipment. I prefer not to get the sunroof because of the decrease in headroom and the fact I never will use it.
  19. A rim refinishing is typically $150 if you need it. I have never bought a rim warranty.
  20. The cost is not the issue. I was concerned about the ease of use and comfort.
  21. The tach/speedo configuration is the better of the 2. But, Lincoln could have easily added many more options. I like the Ford cluster layout better, but I like the rest of the Lincoln interior better.
  22. I know. We do not have little kids. I was looking at it from the perspective that if there is only 1 person in the car, you have to adjust 2 climate controls to change the temperature. It would have bveen very easy to sync the rear control when they synced the driver and passenger.
  23. The idiot lights still work. In the past, I have found problems early by noticing issues on the various gauges. There is no reason Lincoln couldnt have offered different instrument display formats sice it is a screen. Let people choose their favorite. Very little cost and more happy customers, a win-win.
  24. Does the belt minder with the inflatable seat bets work for just the 2 inflatable belts or all 2nd and 3rd row seating positions? I like the idea of the belt minder for the back seat since people don't always buckle up. I always wear my seatbelt, but disable the driver's belt minder because I find the seatbelt a problem when backing a trailer and don't like the reminder at that time.
  25. I noticed in that when you sync climate controls in the Navigator it only syncs the front 2 climate controls, not the rear climate control. Is there a way to sync the rear climate control as well? It is a pain to require the rear climate control to be adjusted separately.
