Hey gang, We have a 2011 Ford Edge Limited (90k miles) we bought used This is the 3rd Ford Edge from the same dealership (2 leasedabout 6 months ago the touch screen started acting up. It would go out and come back on every once in a while. On Christmas Eve it went black again and stayed off... No radio, backup camera, heated seat controls, etc. (very annoying) Did my research and found FORD has had tons of problems especially with the 2011 SYNC 2. They even extended the warranty for 5 years. Unlucky for me, that ran out a long time ago. So I took it to the dealership. They diagnosed (@$189) and said the APIM was BAD and needed replaced... $895.40 for an old SYNC 2 APIM module. The service manager said I had to pay upfront for the part and he would order it and schedule my appointment when the part came in. Guess what...???? My wife sends a photo that the damn thing came back on while she was driving!!!! (scared the crap out of her) WTH?? Is it "really" a BAD unit or not?? Maybe a Loose Wire??? What should I do??? Who can I call about this?? Does anyone know who to call (higher up at FORD) to maybe help with this issue. Any and ALL advise would be appreciated. Thanks John
