Hello everyone I have a question for the forum. I am considering buying a 1964 econoline van. This van currently is a 6 cylinder with a 3 speed on the column. My question is how hard would it be to convert this van to an automatic transmission? What would be involved? What I can think of right off the top of my head is the transmission, flexplate, linkage. What am I missing? Would I need to change out the steering column too? Reverse light switch? I just want to know if this can be done and have it look like it came from the factory that way, or does it have to involve aftermarket stuff. Thanks]
