I deleted it 4 weeks ago and still nothing. The new issue is sprayed in bed liner.I ordered 3/18/21 and still haven’t been scheduled f350 platinum. The new issue from what I’m seeing is the sprayed in bed liner I called my dealer to see and they had no idea that was a commodity issue now. I told them I want to delete it but I’m afraid because my priority code was switched from 19 to 02 last Wednesday by Ford because my dealer complained fir me that it hasn’t been scheduled yet. But if we delete it I will go back to a 10 to 19 so they are going to find out from Ford rep what they recommend I’m beyond frustrated at this point !!!! I need this truck before the end of October to get it ready to plow ?‍♂️?‍♂️

youre the first person ive heard say spray liner is causing a delay.  as for AS i dropped it on tuesday and was scheduled that thursday.  if you can live without it drop it.  the only trucks that seem to be getting scheduled with it is king ranch, i have a theory this has to do with the steering wheel color and they were able to get those wheels. the lariat and platinum and limited all have black wheels

I see.... so it's in my best interest to delete the AS from my Order. I appreciate the information and extra work you did to find the Bulletin. I'm sure it's been discussed and shared and I missed it. I've only just joined the Blue Oval Forums recently and there is a lot to read... I'm a little bummed about the AS because I've heard how well it performs from folks that have it. Hopefully I if I drop it, then my truck will get scheduled. Thank You

If it counts for much, i looked up and saved all the wiring diagrams from it.  you can add it later when parts become available, it will be pricy though.  and the 22 wheel is a different connector from the 21 so youre gonna have to wait for 22 parts to become available.

Well-being it is just similar to another person's dates with a similar story of dropping the AS and getting picked up for scheduling. I'm hoping for somebody to come along that can verify what the dealer told that guy about AS not getting scheduled or being dropped from future builds. Maybe somebody has a bulletin, or knowledge of what or why when it comes to the AS issue. I've seen guys with orders dating back to March that have heard nothing but crickets on their orders. I know mine is confirmed as per my sales manager.... plus he sent me the order sheet with my order number and I'm priority 19 like a lot of Retail Orders are.....and I did do the COVP so I know I'm in the pipeline.... I'm considering dropping AS when my Sales Manager comes back from Vacation on Friday the 13th.

Ive seen several post stating that AS was being dropped/deleted, but it has yet to show up in the scheduling notes other than a few weeks ago it said trucks with AS will not be scheduled until further notice.  let me see if i can dig it up.

@JHForman812 I asked the dealer about that because I was a little shocked to see them. He said they only put stock trucks on his webpage, they don’t list retail orders. They put retail ordered trucks out on the lot until they are picked up so people can see them but don’t put them on the website. He said they have sold several 2021 models before they hit the lot because people want them bad enough they don’t want to lose out so they buy them sight unseen but again those were dealer stock not retail orders. The window stickers don’t pull up yet so I have to go by his word (he’s a straight shooter so I believe him).

understood.  during the first couple of days i believe they ran stock orders and now seem to be focusing on retail orders.  Have you seen the tracking spreadsheet on FTE?

I’m not sure about this anymore. I know that is what the folks in the know have said but my dealer has two 2022 F250s showing as “coming soon” on his website and both have VINs. If I read the info on this forum correctly having a VIN means it’s scheduled for production. I ordered my F350 on 4/30 and am still sitting at unscheduled-clean.

how do you know those arent spoken for? do the window stickers pull up? if so are they blue or green?

JHForman812 what’s your schedule built date if you don’t mind me asking? I’m thinking about dropping as. My truck is already scheduled for 9/20 not sure if that’s going to stick tho

mine is 8/23 week(i dont have the exact day i havent asked for it yet), if i were you and already scheduled id hold on to it, theres several guys on FTE that were in the 9/20 club like you and have moved to 9/6.

I figure since the XLT’s are the only trim that still uses the 8” Sync3 in the 22 line up, they are probably using the UTT components on the unfinished 21’s. This is a bummer because I have an XLT with the 53Q package so mine is not being scheduled. I ordered on 5/24 so it’s a bummer watching June and July orders already getting scheduled… thankfully I can wait for a while longer… although the longer I wait the more I worry that other components will come up short…

i get that! i had to drop adaptive steering to get scheduled.

It was the option I fretted over the most.  Just cancelled it Thursday evening

I wouldnt frett it, wait till 22 parts are available and youll be able to add it later if youre dying to have it.  Ive looked up all the wiring diagrams for it unfortunately the 17-21 steering wheel is different so youll have to get a 22 steering wheel later when they are available.  the AS is built into the wheel, should be a pretty easy upgrade later.

I spoke with Ford today and the very nice lady on the line answered a lot of questions about my order and where the status of my order is today.

    Ordered - 7/2/2021

    Scheduled to week - 8/23/2021

    Vin assigned

Order confirmed on Ford tracking website (not showing any production week or even if scheduled)

When asked if there may be any listed delays she said that there was some concerns about the Tremor 17Y option and the Ultimate Trailer Towing 53R.  To be honest I thought she said 52R which is the stowable ramps.  Not sure if anyone has any idea on if these are true and are they standing true.  Seems like the schedule to week is no problem since I have both of these options on my order.

    Happy Waiting!!!

    XLT? or lariat or platinum?

No. Scheduled orders can be changed up until the time the vehicle is locked in for production. Changes to an order always change the scheduled production date. If the vehicle is locked in for production, any attempted changes will be rejected.

    Thank you for the education.

...... or is it simply a shiny farkle-type of option that only delays delivery of your new truck?

I actually like it on my 19, with that said its not a must have feature.  I dropped it from my current order so i could get scheduled.  these trucks can pretty much get upgraded at any time after the fact.  If i feel like i have to have it ill buy the steering wheel and do it later.  now one thing to consider, look up adaptive steering failure super duty, when it fails the truck can still be driven but the wheel is turned 90 degrees.

Ford doesn't usually provide information on why scheduled production dates are pushed back. But then again, this year is exceptional with scheduling, production and supplier issues. Deleting the Adaptive Steering isn't likely to move your production date forward but the situation is such, with Super Duty orders in particular, that there's just no way of knowing.

since his truck is already scheduled and has vin number, wouldnt it be impossible to drop adaptive steering at this point ?

    You mean this one?:  https://shop.ford.com/vehicleordertracking#/

That's the one I've been using. I guess I'm thinking it's broken, because nothing about my 5-27 order status has changed, because not much makes sense with the ordering process thus far.

    Order Confirmed

Your order has been entered into the Ford Ordering System. It will then be scheduled and placed in the first available production week. Once scheduled, a Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) and estimated build date can be provided.

--  I have a VIN #, yet, it is not scheduled.

I think it has been said multiple times, if you have a vin you are scheduled.  if im wrong someone correct me.  if youre looking at the bubble that says in production or something its not going to poplulate till you get closer to your build.

I'm in the same damn boat.  My dealer even tells me "when its scheduled you'll hear from me. No need to keep asking me"    Like what the hell. I aint got time to be waiting around.   I think I'm cancelling and going to pick a 21 that's now being delivered daily to dealers.  In just the last week I've tracked a bunch that were delivered to dealers.  THe difference in their options vs mine is not enough for me to sit around and wait for mine to be scheduled.

plus like it was said on one of the other forums, these trucks are like legos, you can add anything after the fact.
